The Double Diamond Ranch is a beautiful horse ranch close to Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. We are just four miles north Hill City which is the center of the Black Hills. Beautiful log cabin that sleep up to 10 complete with private hot tub, fireplace, satellite tv, fully furnished stainless steel kitchen, gas grill, covered decks, washer/dryer, and breathtaking views. All linens, towels, cookware are furnished. We have two creeks running through our property plus lots of space for taking hikes. We stayed at the Double Diamond Ranch in Cabin DD for 2 nights, we would loved to have stayed a week! Lee ann was very responsive to our email inquiries and had the cabin in perfect order when we arrived. Some of our family jumped right in the hot tub. The cabin/house was beautifull and immaculately clean. The kitchen was nicer than ours at home! The furnishings are very nice and beds comfortable. The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful and the location was perfect for going to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Lee ann was very gracious to allow us to have a late check out on our last day which was very helpful with 2 elderly parents with us. Overall, we have no complaints, loved our stay and our only regret was that our stay wasn't longer!

My immediate/extended family took a trip to the Black Hills several years ago, and over the years the most memorable thing about the vacation was the wonderful accommodations. Our Loft was beautifully furnished, and everything we could want was included. The owners helped make this vacation even more special by treating us like family. We enjoyed coffee while soaking in the hot tub in the morning fog, and they were even nice enough to let us ride their horses bareback! I have always looked back on this vacation fondly and I look forward to someday being able to go back.

The Double Diamond Ranch is for sure a "Home away from Home". From the delicious treat when you arrive to the wonderful scenery that is all around. We stayed in the aspen Room and it was so clean and had everything that we needed. Nothing was cheaply done! The wildlife was wonderful to see in the mornings and evenings coming down the hill and feeding. The horses were beautiful and very friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was also centrally located to the major attractions. We will definitely be returning again! Thank you Double Diamond!! Give Nikki (the dog) a pat on the head for us :)

My family and I stayed at the Double Diamond in early august and we were very glad we chose this place. The owners were kind and gracious. The property itself was gorgeous and our boys would have been happy to spend a lot more time there. They were able to hang out with the horses in the Double Diamond pastures and fish in Spring Creek. We stayed in the Pine Room. It was extremely clean and well stocked with both bath and hot tub towels and a kitchenette that had all the basics provided (glasses, silverware, plates, micro, coffeemaker, toaster, etc.) We enjoyed the satellite TV and Wi-fi.
There was one thing that I found a little confusing. I was unclear as to whether this was a true bed and breakfast that would provide breakfast. When I was investigating places to stay I thought I saw it listed as a bed and breakfast. I also saw somewhere that breakfast was available at an extra fee. When we got there I didn't see any info on any breakfast options. The kitchenette was very good but I wasn't very organized so we just kind of flew by the seat of our pants. It was no big deal! I would just say that if you stay here you should ask about it in advance. I'm certain that the owners will be very helpful in giving you your options.
All in all, We would totally recommend this lovely ranch as a place to relax or as a home base to enjoy all that the Black Hills has to offer!! -

My fiancé and I wanted a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life and boy did we find it. The Cadillac Cowboy cabin is a truly beautiful log cabin equipped with the latest appliances and gorgeous furniture. We are use to staying at cabins with kitchen appliances and furniture that look like they might have been used by Wilma Flintstone. Aside from the man made beauty of the cabin, the natural beauty that surrounded us was breathtaking. We spent quite a bit of our time hiking and petting the horses on the Double Diamond Ranch. On more than one occasion we were able to get within a few feet of the big horn sheep. We were also within minutes of some nice wineries and good local shopping. I have to say that one of my most memorable moments was the time we spent in the hot tub enjoying one of the delicious local bottles of wine watching the sun set.
All in all this cabin had the perfect combination of modern comfort and rustic ambiance for a couple of city slickers looking to enjoy all that the Black Hills had to offer. We definitely look forward to bringing a few of our friends in the Spring and taking advantage of all this cabin has to offer!!!
