Description from the owner
This cozy cottage is at the base of beautiful Torch Lake, just 3/4 of a mile from the sandbar on the south end of the lake, and is an ideal location. We are across the street from a public access and have a shared private lake access as well. If you need a boat slip, you can rent from the marina just 2 minutes down the road. This cottage sleeps 8 as it has one room with a queen and two bunk beds, a second bedroom with two twin beds and a sun porch with a trundle bed which acts as two twins or a king. The house has air conditioning and heat so is perfect for ski vacations as well and just about 25 minutes from Shanty Creek for great golf and...Read more

Lots of fun. The cottage was perfect for the crowd we had in. Did everything we could think of, boating, hiking, biking, golf, eating, and drinking. Highly recommend Siren Hall in Elk Rapids to eat dinner. Organic meat/fish in Bellaire, great lake trout, beef, and chicken. Torch City boat rentals will set you up. Take the bike trip along the lake.

We stayed at the cottage for a week to be near Torch Lake, as we have a boat and wanted to be near access. This place is great and right across the street from the lake with a view of Torch Lake. Very nice decor and very spacious. We had a great time. It is in the perfect location for boating. There are 2 boat launches very close--one to the right and one to the left. Close to the town of alden, which is a must-visit. The owners have everything listed of things to do and see, which made the vacation even better than expected. Our interaction with them was superior. Slept great in the beds, sunroom was awesome, I could go on and on. Oh yeah, great beach access right across the just a few hundred feet down the road. Near the Sand Bar, you could swim to it if you wanted. Great grocery store about a mile away without the "up north" grocery prices. Thanks for a great stay!

The cottage was great. Had a perfect week of weather minus a morning thunderstorm. It was so hot that the temperature in Torch Lake was like bath water.
The cottage worked out really well. Great location to use the public or shared access beaches. That was very useful for people that didn't want to stay on my boat all day and for watching the fireworks. The cable TV, AC, fire pit, and zip line were all very nice!Response from Kristin Tatman - 07/19/2012

Our family has rented the cottage for the last eight years, and have 10 days reserved for this year. Our children and grandchildren join us each year. The cottage has been very functional and has all of the ammenities. Of course, the location on Torch Lake and the numerous things there are to do are all part of our continueing satisfaction. The fact that we look forward to returning each year pretty much say's it all.

Awsome days and nights at the Cozy Cottage
Burlington, KYAwsome days and nights at the Cozy Cottage
Left on 06/04/2011 for a stay in August 2010
My wife and I and our two boys, 8 and 12 spent a fantastic week at the Cozy Cottage at Torch lake. We loved the floor plan layout that gave us the ability to all be together in the family room or if you wanted to be alone you could spend time in the front sun room or one of the nice spaced bedrooms. Having two bathrooms made it very convenient for us all to take care of our business. The bright colors in the kitchen made it fun and exciting to wake with a cup of coffee.
The outside deck, woods, and zip line was a big hit for all of us.
The great location allowd us to be centrally located to everything. The grocery store, pizza, restraunts, downtown, or even a day trip to Traverse City and an easy walk across the street to one of the public acceses to the beautifull Torch lake were all easy to get to from the cottage.
We will definitely go back to the Cozy Cottage -

We had a relaxing, yet fun-filled, stay in this cozy cottage in Torch Lake. Torch Lake is absolutely beautiful & offers summertime favorites, like kayaking, boating, swimming, shopping, & ice cream! It has a small-town feel with gorgeous views. After a day filled with activity, we loved coming back to this comfortable, well-maintained & appointed cottage, with all the comforts of home. We will definitely stay here again & would recommend this cottage to anyone traveling to Torch Lake!

We love the cottages location, on the south end of this torquoise colored clean lake, very near the marina and a couple of miles from the quaint village of alden. You can kayakfrom the beach across the street to the infamous sand bar for an afternoon of sun and fun, cook out on the deck among the trees, simply relaxing!
