East Lansing, MIPeace and quiet...perfect place to re-think life's priorities.
Left on 03/13/2013 for a stay in October 2012
I spent about 10 days here last October mainly by myself and I loved it! This is a wonderful place to get away and just enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding woods.
Charlie is a wonderful host. He gave me a short orientation when I arrived and that was all I needed for a great time.
The dogs and I went for walks and explored. The deck with with the view of the lake made for some beautiful sunrises.
I still was able to catch the Michigan-Michigan State football game!
Not even the rain almost every day could spoil my time in this little piece of paradise!
I look forward to my grandson getting a little older so he can come up with his Mom and Dad and have fun on the play area as well as boating & fishing.
I've already booked my time at the lodge again this year and hope to come back every year!

This place is great!!! Northern Pike giving quite a fight! Large mouth bass about a foot and a half! I loved the whole atmosphere, the seclusion. Your in the middle of nowhere yet not to far from town! The best part is waking up in the morning and walking thru the sliding glass door from my bedroom and out on the deck overlooking the lake! I saw an Eagle one morning, great view!

Great scenery and spacious living quarters. Exciting fishing first several years. Mostly northern pike. Owner always checks to see how things are going. The home is well laid out and furnished. It is well off the beaten path, so one must take in everything including food. The outside fire pit is great, as is the deck overlooking the private lake. Boats and pier are included and help with the fishing. House drinking water is awesome. Owner upgrades on a regular basis. Outside children's area has swings and slide on wooden frame. Our family has three years there and is signed up for another.

Charlie is an excellent host...if you need something...he is certain to get it for you. We spent our days reading on the deck and watching the wildlife.

Thank you for staying with us again this year. It was both a priviledge and honor to have you parents request our lodge for their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Hope they stay healthy and please say hello to them for me.

this was a great place to stay for privacy and relaxing...unfortunately, we were there for a wedding down the road and it was a little inconvenient for us but we enjoyed it very much. Way back in the middle of nowhere...eagles, deer, turtles and fishing! I would stay there again...beds were small and a little uncomfortable but all in all, it was nice!!

This place is just wonderful. It is secluded and quiet, just what we were looking for. The lodge is rustic and quant, we just love the view from our bedroom out onto the lake and the double whirlpool tub was lovely. I am glad to see you have this new web site so guest can leave comments and the calendar with the dates available is a very nice feature. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back this fall to enjoy the leaves changing again. The extra touches provided by you truly make this a memorable place in our hearts.

All arrangements were as we were told prior to arrival. The lodge is quite remote and a true "Northern experience." It was a pleasure to be able to enjoy this type of atmosphere. The lodge is rustic and very comfortable and the fishing is very good with no problem of getting lost on the lake.
All in all the vacation was very special.Response from charles muntwyler - 02/06/2012
