Located only a few minutes walk from Rumas Hideaway are a few lovely restaurants, local grocers store, the Rarotonga Golf Club as well as a lovely hill walk giving you stunning panoramic views of the western side of Rarotonga.

Rumas Hideaway is a clean , modern well built self contained unit equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday..
As my first accommodation on Rarotonga i could not have wished for a nicer place to unwind and explore the island..
its located in arorangi , a short distance from the beach & shops with a backdrop of lush hillside and a pleasant breeze often blowing..Its handy to the main town of avarua and the beach.. Facilities are excellent & include a ceiling fan ,t.v , oven ,cooktop,washing machine and a tastefully decorated bathroom with a great shower ..wood panelling in the main room gives the place a homely feel and there is a covered deck perfect to enjoy a cold drink in the evening.
But the icing on the cake with this place is , without doubt the genuine and very friendly hospitality of the hosts Cel & Petero .They will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and help out with anything they can to ensure that your stay on rarotonga is an enjoyable one.Nothing is a problem , be it opening your nu (drinking coconut) , arranging flights to visit other islands or knowing what entertainmemt is going on or attractions that may be of interest.
Cel and Petero trated me like I was part of the family and this made my first visit to the Cooks a very special one.
Cel & Petero also operate a taxi business so can help out with getting you where you need to go.
I highly recommend Rumas Hideaway to other travellers and will be back there when next in Rarotonga.Give them a try .You will not be disappointed !
