Just a few minutes walk from one of the nicest beaches on Rarotonga, this lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is ideal for a relaxed and comfortable holiday. Set in lovely tropical gardens with large decks, both covered and open, makes outdoor living a dream at any time of the year. Ceiling fans and screens on the windows keep the breeze flowing while keeping unwanted insects outside. The master bedroom has a super king bed and its own en suite and the 2nd bedroom has 2 x king single beds which can be zipped together to make a large king size bed. It also has its own ensuite. NZ$145 per night for a couple. $25 per person for each extra person, up to 4 people. Discounts for last minute bookings within 2 weeks of arrival if we have availability. We travelled with our young son for a week in the Cooks and loved it. Diane was exceptionally helpful in organising our stay. We also hired toys from cocotots for a very reasonable rate. The accomodation was just over the road from a super beach and there is a small supermarket nearby. There arent really many restaurants or bars you can walk to so if you both like to have a drink in the evening that might be a problem. The accomodation was very clean and perfect for us. The only things we felt to note were the mozzis just as it started to cool down they shot out like clockwork (but there are mozzi coils provided) it just means you cant really sit out in the evening unless you are very tough! and the TV and music / radio. Very limited stations and reception. There are plenty of books and board games provided but if you are stuck in like we were every night you might want to check if they have added a few Dvds to their collection or bring your own. The first day you will wake up with the dawn as its true the birds are incredibly loud but then you learn to sleep through. We loved the place and would stay again.

We have been to Rarotonga five times. The last 3 times we have stayed at Hibiscus Homestead. Each time we go we find the property better than the time before as the landscaping matures. It is always beautifully presented to a high standard. We particularly enjoy the quiet location among local homes in a sheltered location, yet so close to the beach. Great decks that are sheltered from the weather. The owners have shown alot of trust in letting others stay in a home that they obviously care so much about. Some people may not like the local hens and roosters wandering around, but that is part of what Rarotonga is all about. We will definetely be wanting to stay at Hibiscus Homestead again. We just hope that Rarotonga doesn't become too busy and loose that wonderful pace of life.

Our stay at Hibiscus Homestead was wonderful. We found the house to be excellent value for money and provided all the facilities required to enjoy a restful and relaxing holiday. The house is situated half way around the island, so well placed, close to Muri beach and other popular snorkelling areas on the island, yet just off the beaten track so we had privacy, space and were able to avoid the business of the island tourist traffic. Wigmores store is also handy being a 5 minuite drive and well stocked with a variety of foods from imported meats to local produce and yummy rarotongan treats.
The house itself was beautiful, modern, well equipped and well structured with two bedrooms with their own ensuite situated at each end of the house with a large open plan living room and kitchen, fans in all rooms and a superb deck which looks out towards the beautiful mountains of rarotonga. The house is off the main road, so quite private and quiet and a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach to swim and walk along.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to our friends and family. We look forward to returning again soon.
