We were originally booked for are Mareko, a beautiful, quiet and a very private bungalow that we liked very much. However, after one night stay there, we were unable to have a shower because there was no water. Currently there is a drought in Rarotonga. So we rang up the owner, and after apologizing to us, told us that we are going to be moved straight away to another villa that they own at no extra cost. That's how we ended up in this aroha Villa. What a place, what an incredible place! Magnificent view of the ocean, huge rooms with statues and original paintings etc, etc. We were there for a week and all that time we were well looked after by Cherrelle, the manager, and Katherine. A beautiful holiday!

Aroha Villa is probably the most beautiful villa in Rarotonga. With a fantastic view, amazing gardens, beautiful breakfasts, each room with it's own ensuite and plenty of room for 6 guests, it's great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect place for our wedding. The owners Mark and Cherrelle were nothing short of amazing and we hope to back soon.

Can't recommend a better place to stay in Rarotonga, Superb views, lots of privacy, free internet, BBQ and excellent kitchen facilities, the maid is very quiet and efficient, Mark and Cherelle are extremely helpful and accommodating, Mareko's Jet-ski is a must do activity.
Could ramble on for quite some time about how good our trip to Raro was and how much of it revolved around the amazing place we stayed.
Will definitely be staying again. -

Yes this property is beautiful but it is not all as it seems. For the price it is not value for money and is certainly not 5 star. It purports to be luxury but the service, presentation and accommodations do not meet luxury standards. The view is wonderful but sadly the accommodations are not up to scratch. We had six of us staying and it is big enough for six adults but one couple will luck out when they take the art studio! There are no pictures of this on the website for a reason - it does not keep in with the rest of the house and the bathroom is an afterthought and is closer to 3 star than 5. Hot water was an issue every morning there was not enough of it or any water pressure for every bathroom. The cleaner (who was lovely) was there from 6am until mid morning doing several loads of washing for other properties she services and her presence although not intentionally did become intrusive. Breakfast was supposed to be included however our own supplies were used to serve us and what is listed on the website as breakfast was never provided! The manager was mostly unhelpful. There was no 200,000 music library and we had to request the ipod docking station to be provided a couple of times and once it was given it did not work properly. The car provided was a barely running and other inclusions listed on the website were never provided. Overall it is comfortable accommodation but it is certainly not five star and was a let down from what one would expect from the website.

I am the General Manager of Aroha Villa and am appalled by the mere fact that you did not enjoy your stay at Aroha Villa, had we known or had you informed us directly. We would've been more than happy to take care of your minor problems so that your stay would be as luxurious as we have stated it to be as has all our past guests. It saddens us, as you are the only guests whom are dissatisfied with your stay.
Just so that everyone else reading is well aware you did stay at a extremely discounted rate of $600 when our normal rate is $3600 ( found on our website) with this said this is by far more than its value for money!
As for the three (3) suites we have not put images of all our suites on our site so for this I would agree and not to worry images will be placed on site.
As for the hot water issue we do have two hot water booster switches in the Villa for days when it is not sunny and the solar heat is not enough, to be switched on so that your hot water will not be an issue. This was also pointed out upon your tour on the first day in which you had arrived it is also located in the compendium.
Please note this is what is inclusive in that price of $600 (as this differs from that of our website $3600 per night) offer:
· Spectacular Panoramic lagoon and ocean views
· Great swimming and snorkelling beach a stone throw away
· Staff readily available 7 days a week

Amazing property which was every bit as good as we had anticipated. Mark & Cherelle were fantastic hosts that were available at all times if needed. We enjoyed the best meal of our stay there with a chef that was organised to come and cook for us while we enjoyed wine outdoors at the huge rustic outdoor dining table, overlooking the water and a beautiful sunset. Breakfast awaiting us every morning, and rooms serviced daily. Wonderful stay.

Some places look better in the advertising. Aroha Villa looks amazing in the brochures and even better in real life. You will walk in and feel like you are in a movie set. The gorgeous open plan downstairs makes for comfortable and spacious living, with views to die for (not everywhere can you see whales going past from the breakfast table).
There is room for everyone to have their own space, as well as more than enough room for everyone to gather together. Everything is catered for. Mark and Cherrelle looked after everything we needed including airport tranfers and Mona was wonderful, having the tea and coffee ready and breakfast on the table while we were either sleeping in, whale watching or just soaking up the serenity.
The herb garden and fruit trees were a total bonus - being able to prepare meals and drink with your own hand picked additions is a delight. Not to mention the selection in the cellar (although cellar is an understatement!! It is really a fully kitted out bar).
It's all comfortable decadence!! A walk through shower, a whole dressing room (like a walk in wardrobe on steriods), delightful kitchen, massive gardens, plunge pool, viewing decks (late July sunset is 6:07pm...be ready to snap, it goes fast!!) and a lounge room with surround sound out onto a deck that must have the best view in the world.
The whole place is a delight. You will be torn between telling everyone to go there...and keeping it a secret so you can go again... because once the word is out, it will be hard to get a booking there!!! The pink house on the hill is the place to be!!! -

Staying at Aroha Villa is like having your own piece of paradise, there is no other way to describe it. The villa itself is stunning, unique, sumptuous, I could go on... Mark, Cherrelle and staff made our stay (and wedding) absolutely perfect. They think of everything and their personal touches made our stay and special day one that we and our guests will never forget. Can't wait to return.

We stayed for three nights at Aroha Villa and also had our wedding ceremony and reception at Aroha Villa. Cherelle and Mark has help and support us since day one. They have been great with setting up for the wedding and cleaning afterwards. They did the decorations to the last pin the way we wanted. I had absolutely no stress before the wedding - was drinking cocktails :)
The villa it self is breath taking. Our guest still can't stop talking about how beautiful it is. There is enough rooms for six people and was spacious enough that you are not constantly bumping into one another. The main room is WOW!! with a walk in shower and wardrope. With even your own pool.
We flew our photographer over and he and his wife stayed over at the villa as well. They had a fantastic time and had their separet room with their own courtyard.
Aroha Villa is close to the airport and town, but also far enough to enjoy the sound of the waves on the beach. The sunsets are amazing!! And pictures can't tell the whole story, it needs to be seen with your own eyes.
Breakfast was prepared with the house keeper, Mona, and she was always around to help tidy the villa and make you feel at home.
Aroha Villa was the best place to stay. But also the wedding was so different from the normal resort wedding as Cherrelle and Mark made it their mission to make all your fairy tale wedding come true. Thank you so much!!
