Are Moe is a self-contained unit within a short walk to one of the best beaches on Rarotonga in Cook Islands. Just 2 minutes and you can enjoy the white sand beach and lagoon. Set in a private garden setting, it provides a small haven for your Cook Islands holiday, is self-contained and private.
Activities
Enjoy relaxing in your own tropical garden, or enjoy the nearby beach with swimming and snorkelling. Rarotonga also offers hiking (such as the cross-island walk), scuba diving (there are dive operators on Rarotonga), golf near the main town of Avarua, etc. Hire a vehicle or a scooter and enjoy exploring round the island.

A great place for a couple. Well planned space; very well furnished; private; screened;clean; and 50 yards from a wonderful beach with great snorkeling. We have stayed at larger accommodations on Rarotonga, but never one we liked better than this one. May and Don are great hosts (not just because of the fresh fish) and our favorite cat was furnished with no extra cost. The chickens were free also, but were a mixed blessing (along with the Mynah birds). We plan to return to are Moe!

Congratulations Don and May on the best private small accommodation I have stayed at on the Rock and I have stayed at a few in the last 13 or 14 years I have been coming. Sorry I missed you son,s 21st but thanks for the invite. See you next year.

Are moe is a fantastic little cottage located just 50 metres from the beach in the lovely grounds of the owner Don Beer. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with all that you need to be able to cook mostly anything. There are laundry facillities in the bathroom, telefone with free local calls, a great shower, comfortable bed and lovley outdoor decking area this cottage offers all the comforts of home in a tropical paradise. The morning Roosters do take some getting used to but they are wild and run free all over the island. Having extensively tried all the beaches on the Island The one opposite are Moe s one of the better beaches on the island as its shallow and calm for swimming and snorkelling. The bus service around the island is good and runs on an Hourly service both clockwise and anti clockwise the bus stops at Wigmore stores about 200 metres from are Moe. We had a great time there and thanks Don for making us welcome and for the fresh fish on arrival.

The bungalow was roomy for 2 people, and had all the comforts of home - even down to fresh fruit and vegetables, a 15 litre filtered water container with tap, torches, mossie repelent (although we hardly needed it), first rate pots and pans and crockery, tissues, doilies, etc - we could go on and on.
It is quiet (apart from the neighbourhood roosters), and the extras - like some freshly caught fish - were a wonderful surprise.
If you want somewhere right on the beach this is not it, but we thought the 2 minute stroll was worth it as we didn't get the main road noise.
We would go back again in a flash. Thanks May & Don for making this a great stay. You are great hosts.
