Ballyclare, United KingdomWonderful experience
Left on 01/08/2013 for a stay in December 2012
From the minute we entered the grounds of Drumahalla we were impressed everything about this place is amazing. Pat was there to great us he had the Christmas tree in place heating on and the fire burning with baskets of logs filled for our use. Patricia had the house imacculate from top to bottom. What a wonderful time our family spent in this magnificent house which has been so exceptionally restored by aidan. Can't imagine anyone finding fault with this property. We even had a butterfly in the bedroom on Christmas morning !. We could have stayed for ever.

We spent a week in this gorgeous self catering house. The house is total luxury, and has everything you need. The grounds are kept beautifully by Pat, who is always on hand if needed. The location on the shore of Lough Swilly was ideal for exploring Donegal. And Rathmullan (and its pubs) is only a half hours stroll along the fabulous beach. We'll definitely be back!

DublinWe had an absolutely marvellous experience
Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in July 2010
It was a brilliant holiday.
The owners were hugely attentive and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our visit. One of the highlights was a sightseeing/fun-fishing boat trip that they brought us on. The house was absolute luxury(without exaggeration!) spotlessly clean, spacious and contained everything to satisfy our needs and comfort. Some excellent restaurants nearby.
Overall a wonderful experience. -

DublinFantastic!

The house and grounds are amazing! The accommodation was very spacious with big bedrooms and bathrooms. We were there as part of a wedding so had a large number of family staying with us, not a problem though as plenty of room for everyone and the kids were kept busy exploring the grounds surrounding the house. Incidentally the grounds are immaculately kept and the guys must cut the grass with a scissors!! I Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Donegal. It was right across the road from the beach and you could take a short walk along the beach in the village of Rathmullan. It was also handy to get to Portsalon golf course from here - an amazing golf course if you get a chance to play!

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in April 2011
Drumhalla is a truly wonderful experience. The house is the best I've seen anywhere with an extremely high standard of quality and facilities. We had some magical moments with our family and friends on the grounds. The owners are very welcoming and very helpful. I cannot recommend this higher. It's the bar all holiday houses should aspire to. It's location to the beach, to rathmullan and portsalon also enhance the benefits of the house.

Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in April 2012
My family which included 8 adults, one ten, one eight, one four year old and twins of two years - stayed Easter week in this magnificient house. The house is beautiful with everything one could possibly need - spotlessly clean - with great views and fantastic gardens. Very well equipped and most comfortable. This is by far the best house we have ever stayed in and would highly recommend it to anyone. Well done aidan and Co for inventing such a fantastic hide-away. The children loved the beach which was on our doorstep and even the mixed weather didn't dampen our spirits. Just an amazing place - with so much care given to it. Fabulous. Thank you aidan! The Kennedy family

I stayed in Rathmullan with a group of friends and absolutely loved it! The set-up is fantastic. The houses are finished and kitted out to the highest standard. The grounds surrounding the estate are perfectly manicured making this a magical setting. The views from the house out to the beach are stunning. Would highly recommend this as an amazing place to stay with freinds & family

Left on 03/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012
The weather helped on our recent stay in Drumhalla but it is definitely a place that everybody should stay at least once. The owner greeted us on arrival and was only across the way or about the grounds if we had questions about the estate itself, the town or things to do in the area. We stayed in the 3rd of the main houses and it was like something out of a film set. Massive beds, glorious decor and more than enough space and modern amenities to keep us all happy.
My husband and I had plenty of walks to go on, restaurants and bars down the town, while the kids ran around the acres of maintained gardens, not to mention the almost private beach across the road.
Our favourite thing about the place and our trip was definitely the house itself and the gardens - pretty amazing! -

I have fond memories of our trip to Donegal with my wife, son and daughter in law. They live in Toronto - she is Canadian.Rathmullan is a small seaside town where nothing seems to have changed over the years. We were very happy with the beautiful facilities we had in our house The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated.Cooking facilities were particularly good with well stocked kitchen and out side barbecue.Highlight of the trip was a visit to Ballymacstocker beach, ranked among the most beautiful in the world where I had a swim. There were two lifeguards on duty .The water cold but invigorating. My daughter in law thought the whole area was beautiful and peaceful. She wants to go back again

An amazing location to hold a wedding with a marquee set up in the grounds.
The stylish interior of the house makes it a perfect venue for the drinks reception and an ideal place for guests to stay.
The beautifully maintained grounds provide a magnificent backdrop for photos, as does the near-by beach. On a warm day the patio is a charming place to have drinks overloohing the sea and hills. -

An excellent place to stay comfortable with an easy going air about it. Aiden made sure we had everything that we needed, while Pat is always around if there is anything you need to know.
Typical Irish easy going way, not in your face but everything is made perfect. We have now been two years in a row and we do not normally go back, says it all.

Left on 03/21/2012 for a stay in June 2011
Our booking was dealt with in a very efficient and friendly manner by the owner.
The comfort and luxury of the house exceeded our expectations. Everything was done to ensure that our stay was a wonderful experience.
The house was beautifully furnished with everything that you might expect in luxury self-catering accommodation. The location of the house is just magnificent, on the shores of Lough Swilly, with a fabulous beach at the end of the drive. The beautifully wooded grounds provide an ideal space in which to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Donegal countryside.
We particularly enjoyed walking along the beach into the village of Rathmullan. The location is great for touring the Fanad peninsula with the wonderful golf course and beach at Portsalon only 20 minutes away.
A unique house in a unique location !

3 generations stayed in great commfort. The houses are very nicely decorated and furnished. The views are lovely with great access to the local beach which is virtually deserted. it was a great base to see the area. The owners were extremely helepful and the trip on the boat was a highlight for the younger members of our group. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and if back in the area, would definitely book it again.

We have spent the last 2 Christmases at Drumhalla House. 14 of us ranging from 82 yrs to 11 yrs shared two exquisite houses-tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. Both my children and my elderly parents say that they will always remember the memories which were created and shared at this magical place. Drumhalla is a haven. Away from the hustle and bustle. We unpacked the cars and the relaxation began. You will not be disappointed.

We cannot recommend this estate enough. We hired the entire house for a family get together over Christmas and the New Year. Set in one of the most picturesque corners of Ireland this stunning estate is the most amazing place we have ever stayed.
From the moment you enter the gates you are struck by the impressively maintained grounds with a pond and fountain and the immaculately restored main house and coach house. The beach is a stroll away with clear calm waters and it is a walkers paradise or the perfect family playground.
The house has been beautifully restored and every room is spectacular - luxuriously decorated with sumptuous furnishings. The bedrooms have stunning sea views and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also cannot fail to mention the spotless condition the house was received in.
