Casa Delia is a fascinating apartment for four people, covering 60 square meters (about 645 square feet); it offers a broad terrace with views of the sea and across the valley, as well as shared use of a swimming pool. It has a parking space.
The apartment has one room with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, a living room, a sitting room, a kitchen and a spacious private terrace.
Casa Delia is on the first floor of an older villa that is literally built into the cliffside. In various areas of the house, parts of the inner walls consist of the rock of the cliffside itself, either left in plain view or, in some cases, wh...itewashed.
The living room is particularly striking-it is equipped with four tall arched glass doors, through which you can gaze at the coastline, the sky and the ocean. One part of the living room wall is bare cliff-side rock which has been planted with ornamental plants, creating a real "rock garden" inside the house.
From this room, you will have access to a magnificent terrace of 20 square meters (about 215 square feet), furnished with table, chairs and deckchairs. Sitting here in the cool open air, you will have a front-row seat to the breathtaking panorama across the Valley of the Dragon all the way to the sea.
Upon entering the house, the first area you will encounter is the sitting room, in which there is a divan that can be converted into a bed for one person. From this room, you can enter the kitchen, the double-bedded room and the living room.
In this room, there is a table for meals and a divan that can be converted into a second single bed.
The bathroom is accessible only through the double-bedded room.
The kitchen is equipped with four-burner cooker, oven and refrigerator with freezer. The furnishings are graceful and comfortable.
Casa Delia is one unit of a small residential complex consisting of a villa and three annexed buildings, scattered across a few hectares of terraced land cultivated with olives, lemons and the wild-growing Mediterranean scrub native to the Amalfi Coast .
The complex is situated on the slope of a small, narrow valley known as the Valley of the Dragon, where it is perched above the village of Atrani , which is roughly 2 km (about 1.3 miles), and beneath the residences of Ravello , located at roughly 4 km (about 2.6 miles).
The valley is traversed by just a pedestrian path, but the complex is easily reachable by car, journeying along a road adjacent to the valley, and is equipped with parking.
All the guests of the complex will enjoy access to a lovely pool, equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs.
Stretched out in the sun on the terrace surrounding the pool, you will be able to enjoy a rich and strikingly unique panorama.
If you raise your eyes upwards, you will see just above you the rocky outcroppings on which Ravello clings to the cliffside, and in particular the terrace of Villa Cimbrone , known as "The Infinite."
In front of you, you will see the opposite side of the valley, where jagged cliffs alternate with lush terraces cultivated with lemon groves.
Below, framed by the nearly vertical walls of the valley, your gaze will find the glittering gem that is the town of Atrani, as well as the ocean beyond.
The pool and the gardens are illuminated in the evenings.
The ancient pedestrian path and stairway that links Ravello with Atrani and the sea passes just next to the house.
You can easily get back up to the apartment by car or bus: the road to Ravello is just three or four kilometers (two or three miles) long.
You can walk to Amalfi , both along the main road or along a romantic pedestrian alley, which will allow you to avoid the nuisance of cars.
By foot, climbing an ancient stairway, you can also quickly reach Ravello, even more quickly than by car.
And walking along this stairway you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views. During your stay, allow yourself the time to take these hikes. It is a great approach to the unique beauty of these places.
From the docks in Amalfi you will also be able to board ferries and hydrofoils to Positano , Capri , Salerno , Sorrento and Naples , as well as mini-cruises for tourists. You must indeed take a tour of the coast from the sea.
From Casa Delia it is also easy and practical to reach the tourist spots of the Amalfi Coast by bus. If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii , Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, and, of course, Naples and Salerno as well.
Staying at this house you will be able, comfortably and without the need of a car, to reach the beach, to take guided tours, visit the characteristic fashion and artisans' shops, as well as attend the many cultural and artistic happenings that take place throughout the year.
Those who like go out at night will find that the Amalfi Coast has a lot to offer, from piano-bars to very exclusive night clubs.

Casa Delia is part of a group of 10 apartments, built in traditional Italian style, which cling to the hillside. The apartment is extremely spacious, especially for 2 people (as we were). Some of the fixtures & fittings (e.g. bathroom) are slightly old and worn, and a few of the window shutters did not open fully, but aside from that , everything else was in good functioning order and the place is very clean. The terrace is very large with fantastic views over atrani and the sea. Because of its orientation the terrace gets the sun from around 11-4pm. There is a barbeque which was great when we wanted to cook for ourselves. The gardens/landscaping is beautiful with fruit trees & flowers; the pool area is clean (if the pool is rather cold!) and quite often we found we were the only ones at the pool. The walk form atrani (400 steps) is good for burning off the calories! (would not be so good with a pram though).
Sadly atrani had just been hit by a terrible mudslide just before we arrived so all of the bars/restaurants were closed and the town generally out of action. However amalfi is only 10 mins walk away with lots of places to eat/drink. In amalfi, I recommend a restaurant called Donna Stella, just of the main street for good pizzas at a reasonable prioce (it has a lovely outdoor terrace too).
All in all, a great place for a truly relaxing trip.
loved this villa. we had the pool to ourselves most of the time and the
surroundings were beautiful. We loved walking the 300 stairs up and back to
the village below in Atrani. Great location.
