Casa Sesta is a romantic house for two people, of 40 square meters (about 430 square feet), with a terrace of 15 square meters (about 160 square feet) with a view of the sea. It also has access to a shared pool. It is equipped with air conditioning and parking space.
The apartment has one room with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, a kitchen with a table for meals, and a spacious private terrace.
Casa Sesta is a typical house of the Amalfi Coast , on one level, with whitewashed walls and vaulted ceilings. It is, incredibly, constructed on the narrow terrace in the middle of a rocky, almost vertical cliffside, reminisc...ent of a bird's nest.
From the windows of the rooms and from the terrace, you can admire an extraordinary panorama that stretches across the village of Atrani to the sea.
Particularly striking is the terrace, which is reached by way of a spiral staircase located in the kitchen. It seems dug out of the cliff which overhangs and shades it. Here, you will find a table, chairs and deckchairs, and you will be able to enjoy the fresh air in privacy and perfect tranquility.
The kitchen is equipped with four-burner cooker, oven and refrigerator with freezer. The furnishings are graceful and comfortable.
Casa Sesta is one unit of a small residential complex consisting of a villa and three annexed buildings, scattered across a few hectares of terraced land cultivated with olives, lemons and the wild-growing Mediterranean scrub native to the Amalfi Coast.
The complex is situated on the slope of a small, narrow valley known as the Valley of the Dragon, where it is perched above the village of Atrani, which is roughly 2 km (about 1.3 miles), and beneath the residences of Ravello , located at roughly 4 km (about 2.6 miles).
The valley is traversed by just a pedestrian path, but the complex is reachable by car, journeying along a road adjacent to the valley, and is equipped with parking.
All the guests of the complex will enjoy access to a lovely pool, equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs.
Stretched out in the sun on the terrace surrounding the pool, you will be able to enjoy a rich and strikingly unique panorama.
If you raise your eyes upwards, you will see just above you the rocky outcroppings on which Ravello clings to the cliffside, and in particular, the terrace of Villa Cimbrone , known as the "Infinite."
In front of you, you will see the opposite side of the valley, where jagged cliffs alternate with lush terraces cultivated with lemon groves.
Below, framed by the nearly vertical walls of the valley, your gaze will find the glittering gem that is the town of Atrani, as well as the ocean beyond.
The ancient pedestrian path and stairway that links Ravello with Atrani and the sea passes just next to the house.
Descending by this path, you will pass through the center of Atrani, which is accessible only to pedestrians. Here, you will find a gracious piazza with shops, cafés/bars and restaurants with open-air seating, and you can also easily reach the beach. The pathway contains 300 stairs.
You can easily get back up to the apartment by car or bus: the drive along the public road to Ravello is just three or four km (2 or 2.5 miles).
You can walk to Amalfi, both along the main road or along a romantic pedestrian alley, which will allow you to avoid the nuisance of cars.
By foot, climbing an ancient stairway, you can also quickly reach Ravello, even more quickly than by car.
And walking along this stairway you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views. During your stay, allow yourself the time to take these hikes. It is a great approach to the unique beauty of these places.
Besides being able to walk to the beach, in this area you will have a chance to swim in rather characteristic places: from the docks in Amalfi, every 30 minutes, you will be able to board small boats that will take you, in ten minutes, to some of the most beautiful beaches, inset in the rocky coast, which can only be reached by boat. These small beaches are very romantic, the sea is beautiful, and you will also find beach facilities, such as cafés/bars and restaurants.
From the docks in Amalfi you will also be able to board ferries and hydrofoils to Positano , Capri , Salerno , Sorrento and Naples , as well as mini-cruises for tourists. You must indeed take a tour of the coast from the sea.
From Casa Sesta it is also easy and practical to reach the tourist spots of the Amalfi Coast by bus. If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii , Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, and, of course, Naples and Salerno as well.
Staying at this house you will be able, comfortably and without the need of a car, to reach the beach, to take guided tours, visit the characteristic fashion and artisans' shops, as well as attend the many cultural and artistic happenings that take place throughout the year.
Those who like go out at night will find that the Amalfi Coast has a lot to offer: from piano-bars to very exclusive night clubs.
The closest airport is Naples.

We enjoyed this beautiful accommodation. It was a relaxing resort away from crowds. It is centrally located on the beautiful amalfi Coast. We could: explore, hike, boat, swim, relax, shop, and enjoy delicious cuisine. We loved being near the great little towns of atrani, Amalfi, and Ravello. Casa Sesta was clean and had an adequate kitchen. We loved the walking and hiking, but there were lots of stairs to climb to enjoy the area. We loved it! We highly recommend the restaurants in atrani, the closest town. The family run restaurant Mistral was our favorite. The square is quaint and we loved the friendly atmosphere. We would love to visit again one day!

This must be one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The views from the roof and windows are spectacular. We were welcomed on arrival and then left to enjoy our stay without interruption. We could not believe how close we were to Amalfi. The little local village and beach were idyllic . The many stairs leading from the village were a challenge at the end of a long day but added to the uniqueness of the experience.

A car is essential but don't hire anything too large as the road down into the complex of individual holiday homes as a challenge at first, very narrow with tight turns.
The accommodation was as described, very clean and well equipped, good bed, kitchen and large bathroom. The only slight down side is the roof terrace is not that usable (or clean) and the spiral stairs narrow, ok for breakfast we found.
As Casa Sesta hangs onto the rocks it is in the shade until mid day so not much direct sun, however, the pool is very close and is great for chilling when you are not out exploring. We didn't need the a/c as shutters worked well to keep most of the sun's heat out until early evening when the sun disappears over the adjacent hill.
The complex gates are locked at night so you need to use your key to get in, the caretaker doesn't speak much English and was unimpressed when I called him to let us in late one night. The lock on the gates is on the right inside the gates, would have helped to known that!
The walk to Ravello is hard in the heat and as such takes quite a while, better when the sun's down. Taxi back down is not too cheap but worth it.
Great walk down to nearest town, Atrani, and round the coast to Amalfi, doesn't take too long and the sights are great. Good bus service back from Amalfi but the walk back up to Casa Sesta is a chore.
Overall beautiful location, great accommodation, just be aware of the short coming and enjoy!

The accommodation is magnificently located under the clifftops of Villa Cimbrone which is a must visit destination while you are there (find Villa Cimbrone in Ravello). The accommodation for 2 persons is just right with privacy a large bathroom a pool and a rooftop terrace.
We enjoyed every step down to Atrani and back up again. If you like to be active on holiday then the walk down to town or across to Amalfi alone will keep you toned while away. You realy feel like you are one of the locals as you retire to your apartment tucked away through the back streets up into the cliffs.
We absolutely loved our time at Casa Sesta and would return again given the chance. It is well located for a walking holiday as well as exploring the local towns and it is easy to use public transport or a car. The accommodation was perfect for our honeymoon and I would recommend it to couples who are looking to get away from it all without really being far away from everything you need oh and don't mind a few steps.
