This luxury Italian Villa is located in Castiglione di Ravello on the Amalfi Coast, near the ancient Scarpariello Tower, short distance away from the little towns of Atrani and Amalfi.
The main entrances of the house are conveniently located at street level which is on the main Amalfi coast road SS 163. There is parking on the same level for two vehicles where the Guests will have a parking area for two medium size cars at their disposal, one of them is included in the weekly rental price. Dimora di mare is located between the little towns of Minori and Amalfi.
The main entrances of the Villa are conveniently located at street level which is on the main Amalfi coast road (SS163) The address is 28, Carusiello Street 84010 Ravello.
From Amalfi you can take a boat to Positano, Sorrento, Capri or Naples. Ravello, 350 meters on the sea level, is 5 Km far, Positano 18 Km, Salerno 25 Km, Sorrento 35 Km, Ercolano and Pompei 45 Km, Paestum 50 Km, Naples 60 Km, Rome 250 Km.
Available quick taxi service and local bus stop (SITA service) immediately outside the Villa, so don’t need the car necessary.

Follow signs to motorway A3 (Napoli, Pompei, Salerno) direction to Sal erno. Exit at Vietri sul Mare and take S.S. 163 direction to Amalfi. After 20 km, next to the milestone n. 32, you will see the Villa on the seaside, on your left.
Alternative car route from Naples
Take motorway A3 until you reach the Angri exit, then follow the directions to Valico di Chiunzi - Costiera Amalfitana. Once you arrive in Maiori take S.S.163 direction to Amalfi and proceed 1,5 Km.

Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise agreed):
- arrival times: between 4 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.
- departure times: before 10.00 a.m.
- any delays or variations must be communicated at least 48 hours before arrival. No refund will be given if the guest is unable to take up residence of the property on the expected day or at the scheduled time owing to travel problems. The same rules applies to early departure.
Payment by bank transfer:
- 30% of the total amount within 15 days from the rental confirmation.
- the balance 60 days before the start of rental period.
- if the holidays start within 30 days prior to arrival the total amount is due within 10 days after the booking.
Cancellation policy:
30% of total rental fee if cancellation is notified between 60 and 30 days before the start of rental period;
60% of total rental fee if cancellation is notified between 29 and 22 days before the start of rental period;
80% of total rental fee if cancellation is notified between 22 and 15 days before the start of rental period;
100% of total rental fee if cancellation is notified within 14 days before the start of rental period.

Thanks to Renato & Annalisa we had one of the greatest and most beautiful weeks of our lives. I think there is not such a wonderful place in the world to stay with your friends and family as Villa Sgrosso. After searching and visiting many places to celebrate our wedding and the start of our honeymoon, we unanimously went for Villa Sgrosso. The warm welcome, the treats, the ideas - Renato and annalisa breathe luxury and authenticity. They overwhelm you with their love and they treat you like their friends. Nothing is too much asked. If you forget something, they remember. And besides that, they know all the best places and local traditions. Not only is the amalfi Coast breathtaking, Villa Sgrosso is one of the best kept secrets and idyllic places. The different terraces that give you all the privacy you need, the rocks where you can dive and swim to the private little beach. The roof terrace with its astonishing views, the shadows of the lemon and orange orchards and the wellness in the bedrooms…. It doesn’t get any better in live. Thank you Renato & Annalisa for making our wedding and the week we celebrated with our family and friends one of warmest and special memories in our lives. Words cannot express how incredibly beautiful this Villa and the owners are! Renato and anna Lisa have made this Villa into an amalfi Oasis. From the moment you step inside you are lost for words. Not only is the view one of the best in the world, but the Villa is by far the best place to stay on the amalfi Coast. You will never find a better location or home to spend a week in. There was a group of 10 of us from Toronto Canada and from the moment we got there Renato treated us like family. I promise you, you will be at a loss for words when you spend a week in this Villa, it truly is magical! Renato, we miss you already!!! To say this is an amazing villa is an understatement. Dimora di mare is a dream retreat and it is more like a castle then a villa. The owners annalisa & Renato are the most genuine and accommodating hosts and take care of the smallest detail. The property is gorgeous, the food is beyond expectations, the cooking class on site is a must do, the boat to Capri is unforgettable and the sea side access is the perfect way to start the day. If you are travelling to Italy and are looking for a guaranteed amazing time, then look no further. Renata and annalisa have done a truly outstanding job in renovating this villa. The attention to detail and comfort is found everywhere. There is a tremendous amout of space around the property, with areas to relax either with the entire group or off on your own. Having the bus stop just outside of the villa was very nice, and being situated between the coastal villages was great. We were so relaxed at this villa, it was truly tough to come back to our regular routine.

The villa was even better than the pictures shown.
Renato and annalisa were wonderful hosts.
The villa has great access to all the surrounding villages in the amalfi region.
We had a group of ten and we all plan on returning.

Staying at the Dimora di mare villa was an amazing experience that we would highly recommend!!! From the moment you enter the villa you feel the warmth and beauty everywhere you look. You receive an outstanding orientation to the property and are welcomed by Renato and annalisa with genuine and incredible warmth and willingness to meet your every need!! Every room is beautiful, beds are outstanding/super comfortable, and bathrooms beautiful...with plenty of room and every detail considered, even special "between room" soundproofing, so you never hear anyone. There are numerous verandas/sitting/dining areas to enjoy the spectacular views, each one unique and beautiful. Also a nice area to sun and swim. You are provided housekeeping services daily and the villa is immaculate! During our stay,we scheduled meals which were prepared by Marguerita...her kind, energetic and generous "spirit" made every meal an "event" that our large group totally enjoyed, food awesome. She is such an integral part of the villa and makes your stay even more enjoyable!!! The villa is well situated to many amalfi coast towns to visit, either drivers can be arranged, or there is easy access to bus from the villa. Frankly, it was the most unforgettable vacation, and I truly miss the friends we made at this incredible villa!!

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, was such a grand experience. The Villa is so beautiful and that is an understatement! My husband and I felt like we were dreaming! The bedrooms are perfect. The views are breathtaking, and the terraces are beyond words. We enjoyed many dinners on the terrace which were absolutely amazing!( Will not tell how many lbs. I gained!) Marquerita, our housekeeper and chef was delightful! We miss her still!
We cannot say in the right words how perfect this vacation was to all of us. I would recommend this Villa to anyone wishing to visit amalfi coast! Many thanks to our hosts, who were so gracious!! -

This Villa is fantastic. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The owners put a lot of thought and effort into anticipating our every need, while providing a truly authentic amalfi Coast experience. The Villa's outdoor livings spaces (covered porches, terraces and grottos) are incredible; great for entertaining or quite get-aways. The house staff is exception. We would definitely come back here again!

This is the third year which we have joined my sister and her family for our family holiday and we have had another super stay. The ambience and the views are spectacular. The pretty, light and airy bedrooms are spotless and very comfortable. The views from the villa are simply stunning. It's a shame that the villa doesn't have a pool, but our children enjoyed going out in boats and swimming in the sea.

My wife and I, along with our two youngest university-age daughters, spent the better part of July 2011 at Dimora di mare; it was simply fabulous!
Renato and annalisa are delightful and are the warmest of hosts; we just loved them and absolutely hated to say goodbye. Marguerite, Lena, and Mario head the estate staff and they faithfully kept the villa and grounds squeaky-clean and looking...well, perfect! Even more importantly, they are fine people--very trustworthy--and we regretted having to leave them as well.
The villa itself is an absolute gem with killer views and a great location (and we're experienced amalfi Coast visitors). My only regret is not bringing more family and/or friends with us to share in our memory making...
Inexpensive? No. Worth the cost? Well, lord willing, I'm planning to become one of the Sgrosso's best customers!!

We didn't just stay at Dimora, we got married there! Our expectations were very high, and they were not only met, but absolutely exceeded. The villa itself is extremely spacious and very well appointed. Every room has its own bathroom, every room has a fantastic view. Location is very central to many towns in the amalfi coast area and is walking distance from Minori as well as amalfi (just a bit further!). The owners analisa and Renato were absolutley fantastic. Always helpful and there when you needed them, but never in your way which we really appreciated. We stayed there with 13 people in our party, and there was still room to spare! Internet access is free and reasonably fast, with wireless access near the 'living' area, and wired access in most other rooms.
On arrival, the owners had made a light dinner for our party, and even though there was 13 of us, we still had a lot of food to spare! And it was absolultely delicious! It was nice to come in and not have to worry about food/groceries right off the bat. A very thoughtful and nice gensture. The cleaning staff is thorough and super nice as well. Again, there when you need them, but never in your way.
I cannot say enough about how fantastic our experience was. From the amenities, the views, the location, the hospitality of the owners, all of it was absolutely perfect! -

1. Most importantly annalisa and Renato are wonderful people. They made our stay extraordinary, from beginning to end.
2. The location is, of course, unsurpassed. Parking for 2 cars is tricky but doable. People on the Drive were patient as we pulled in and out.
3. The villa is spotless and is kept that way. Each room is beautifully furnished and overlooks the ocean. If you want to cook all equipment is there and user friendly. The bathrooms are all new. The beds are perfect.
4. yes it's 100 steps to the water but once you are there its easy to swim to a beach or just lounge on the chairs and watch the waves and the boats go by.
5. It is an easy 15 minute walk into amalfi. Not good for little kids to walk on the road, but we did it with 9 year olds and it was fine. -

We found everything to be exactly as promised. Our stay with Renato and annalisa could not have been better. Should we decide to revisit the area in the future, we will definitely return to Dimora di mare. It is lovely. And so are Renato and annalisa.
