After staying in the villas which are impressive I knew The Moorings beach rooms would be just as good. I was not disapointed . My main reason for choosing the beach rooms this time round was location . Which is ideal for the restaurants,bars and across the beach from the longtail boats going to the islands. The rooms were spotless with a comfortable bed had everything I needed and a large fridge for use, tv, free wifi , safe, table and chairs,nice bathroom facilities and shower. Best of all a few steps to their bar and restaurant Coconut Bar with superb food you do not even have to wander far for some of the best food in Rawai. Nothing was too much trouble and the best service I have ever come across. You are very much treated like family here and not as a stranger. Thank you ken ,Tip and Jasmine, Ian and Kathy and the rest of the staff for another wonderful 5 star stay.

We have been on holiday to Thailand many times, and unfortunatley my husband was made redundant... so no more 5 star for us... I still needed my hols,so I decieded to "do" our own...How lucky 4 us I found Ken an Tips wonderful,fantastic an so inexpensive "the moorings"
From the moment we arrived (met at the airport with taxi) till the time we left (all 2 soon)..Ken an Tip could not have been more helpful..The room was clean an plenty big enough 4 the 2 of us, had everything that we ever had before in 5 star...well not all, but the price refelcted that !!
We loved the whole experience so much we are going back again, this time in 1 of Ken an Tips villa...with my sister an hubby...
Anyone on a budget should stay at The Moorings... you will not find anything else close to it !!! -

I returned recently to Coconut Paradise Resort. I booked a room behind the beach front restaurant/bar called The Moorings. I stayed previously with my family in one of the Coconut Paradise villas in 2009 so I knew the rooms would be of a high quality.
It was almost one year since I left Phi Phi Island Villa and I was met by the owners Ken and Tip Guy. Welcome to Paradise.
I was shown to the Moorings room which was quite perfect for me. Take a look at the website is my best advice because what you see is what you get which I think is great value for money.
I can highly recommend eating at the Coconut Paradise restaurant. The Thai staff speak good English and are happy helping you to choose dishes which may be unfamiliar. I found both Thai and the European menus choices exceptionally good quality.
Beaches are my thing. Nai Harn is my favourite but Kata Noi is lovely too. Nai Harn beach which is a couple of minutes away from The Moorings is spotless, not crowded and well serviced for refreshments.
My last word will be in praise of the staff at Coconut Paradise Resort. These people are the friendliest, most honest, genuine, happy smiling people who really made my stay memorable. Welcome to paradise indeed.

We stayed in thailand in may and was reccommended to stay at coconut paradise. we chose the 'moorings' as it was in the town, perfect location with a gorgoeous view outside. it was next to the bar which was extremely good value for money and amazing quality. very handy being situated here, perfect for getting breakfast and dinner or watching the sports on a large tv within the bar. the owners couldn't have done more for us, they really made our stay wonderful, they arranged for us to have taxis whenever we wanted, day trips and mopeds/motorbikes. there is beach 5mins drive away and its amazing, you have to go there, called nai harn i think, the owners ken and tip will give you info and advice.
enjoy your holiday in thailand, definately stay in the moorings!! x
