    The Phuket Island Region

PHUKET with its beautiful beaches and idyllic offshore islands, enjoys all year round temperatures of between 26 and 36 degrees, making it ideal for enjoying the many activities 12 months of the year. The rainy season (Summer Season), runs from May until the end of October, with the last 2 months having the most rainfall. However, even in the Summer Season there are still long periods of sunshine each day. The Summer Season is a nice time to visit Phuket as it is quieter, and the weather can still be glorious!

    RAWAI & NAI HAAN
RESTAURANTS - We have many really good Restaurants close by, some within easy walking distance. You will find a list of all our favourites in your Villa. Two of our favourites do an excellent (free) Delivery Service to all our Villas - great for enjoying on your outside Dining Patio - and one or two others do a free "pick up from your Villa" service! We also have many other excellent Restaurants & Bars within easy walking distance.

PROMTHEP CAPE - just a 5 minute drive away, has stunning views, and is a perfect spot to watch the fabulous sunsets.

MASSAGE - Massage Salons and Spas are very popular in Thailand, and a great way to unwind and relax. You can even enjoy a Massage in the privacy of your Villa/Studio.

    THE NEARBY BEACHES & ISLANDS
NAI HAAN BEACH is great for swimming and snorkeling!
RAWAI BEACH is the place to catch a Longtail Boat out to the many offshore islands.
BON ISLAND, CORAL ISLAND & RACHA ISLANDS are all just a short boatrip away - with superb beaches, great snorkeling and lovely beachside Restaurants
PHI PHI ISLAND - Thailand's "Jewel in the Crown!" These islands are what dreams are made of. Visit beautiful MAYA BAY where "The Beach" was filmed. Make it a mini adventure and stay overnight at one of the Bungalow Resorts right on the beach. You can catch a Ferry from Phuket Town (approx 3 hours), or take a Speedboat from Rawai Beach (approx 30 mins).

KATA, KARON & PATONG BEACHES are much busier than Rawai or Nai Haan, but have lots of exciting Watersports - for instance Jet Skies, Paragliding, Water Ski-ing and Windsurfing.

SHOPPING - there are many small grocery shops and banks etc locally within easy walking distance, or a 20 minute drive will take you to the larger Shopping Malls near Phuket Town, or the fabulous new shopping centre, Jungceylon in Patong.

DIVING AND SNORKELLING: The Andaman Sea has some of the best dive sites in the world, including the prestine SMILIAN ISLANDS. There are many PADI DIVE SCHOOLS nearby, with fees far lower than found in most other countries. We can even arrange a "Free First Lesson"Âť for you to try out this exciting sport!

ELEPHANT RIDING or HORSE RIDING - It's great fun to visit the elephants and go on a trek up in the mountains near Rawai. The views are great too! Or how about a gallop on horseback along a Beach!

PLUS, nearby we also have Go Carts, Shooting, Atv's, Gyms and Sports Centres

THAI CUISINE - Thai food is renowned for its quality and diversity and for being as much a feast for the eyes as for the stomach! COOKERY CLASSES are held locally too, so why not learn how to cook your favourite dish so you can enjoy it back home?

THAI PEOPLE - there are so many good things to be said about Thailand, and the local Thai people are definitely to be included on the list. Always friendly, always smiling - a joy to get to know.

PHUKET - things to do and places to go
GOLFING: Phuket has many first class courses with standards of facilities undreamed of elsewhere. Caddies are provided at all courses, and green fees are surprisingly low.

SAILING: with so many interesting islands offshore, and warm sea temperatures all year round - what sailing enthusiast could resist? Why not try a SUNSET CRUISE?

CANOE ADVENTURES: in Phang Nga Bay, you can have a fabulous Day Trip out, exploring the mysterious landlocked lagoons, hidden away right inside some of the islands in the bay! A Guide will help you navigate your canoe through narrow passages and small caves. A great day out!

BAMBOO RAFTING or WHITE WATER RAFTING - Fabulous adventures

KHAO SOK NATIONAL PARK - a pristine Tropical Rainforest surrounded by stunning limestone Karsts. A good variety of tours available, from a 1 day tour, to a 3 days and 2 nights tour.

ZOO AND AQUARIUM - both the Zoo and Aquarium are interesting and fun trips out. The kids will love the Elephant Show, the Monkey Show and the Crocodile Show!

PHUKET TOWN - is like a mini Bangkok and fascinating. We have detailed a 2 hour Walk which takes you around the Market, Chinese Temples, old colonial-style Mansions, and the heart of the Chinese Quarter. We've suggested a good Restaurant for lunch too – up on the hill overlooking Phuket town & out to sea!

PATONG - Patong is famous for its beach with every type of water sports, but possibly more famous for it's outrageous nightlife! Take a late night stroll through the busy streets and you're sure to see some of the "beautiful"Âť Lady Boys! Good for shopping too!

TEMPLES - Phuket has many Temples, but the largest and most important is Wat Chalong - only a 15 minute drive away, and well worth a visit. On the way you could also visit the huge Buddha which is in the middle of construction, high up on a hill overlooking almost all of Phuket. It's quite a sight!

TEMPLE TOUR - We have put together a Tour which takes you to two fascinating Temples in Phang Nga - one is right inside a cave and the other is set on top of a mountain. It is a full day out, and great fun.

PHUKET FANTASEA - the ultimate Night-time Entertainment on Phuket Island, which is sure to delight the whole family! A breathtaking Las Vegas-style Theatrical Show, with state-of-the-art Special Effects!

PHUKET IS WELL PLACED FOR VISITS FURTHER AFIELD - with excellent local Airlines, busses and trains:-
    * BANGKOK is definitely on the "must do" list with endless places to visit, including The Grand Palace, The Floating Market, River Cruises and much more.

      Thank you.
The villa is beautiful, the pool is
great and the surroundings are fantastic. Personally I loved the areas of shade
around the garden, with plenty of space to sunbathe (my daughter)
The staff working around us are fantastic, so nice! We've had a wonderful week here at 'The Coconuts Villa' and we hope to come back. We'll be sure to tell all our friends and family.

Thanks again for a great holiday"

      Very Nice Villa!

Left on 02/23/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We just got back from a week stay at The Coconuts Villa. Booking with Chris was easy with quick responses and he even accommodated us when we had to change our dates slightly. He was very helpful in getting us a taxi and arranging the rental car with P&D; Taxi (who were great to deal with) which worked out much better than my original plan of renting a car at the airport.

Upon arrival we were met by Philip and shown around the villa, which was beautiful. The landscaping and area outside the villa are gorgeous and the carport was really nice to have. There was a welcome pack of food that was appreciated and a tour of the area was offered although we declined since the kids were anxious to get in the pool and we like to explore. There were maps, brochures and a great book with information about the villa, Rawai and Phuket. We found the beds to be comfortable and the amenities (kitchen, laundry, DVD library, safe) more than adequate. We enjoyed the Rawai/Nai Harn area and traveled as far as Patong and Phuket Town with no trouble. Our deposit was returned very quickly after our week was over.

There were only a few issues that kept me from giving a rating of five. Inside the villa, mosquitoes were a problem especially during our first few days there. I know this is Thailand but the master bathroom always had a lot of them - more than there were outside on the deck. Eventually we realized that in the later part of the day, the larva were crawling all over the tub and sink and by evening they had shed their skin (all over the tub and floor) and were flying around, biting us. I got bit six times the first night. I tried using the air conditioning to help but since there was only a thin sheet on the bed and no blankets, we nearly froze. We also tried filling up the bathtub and sink to keep them from crawling up through the drains. It did help some as we would find them floating in the water. By the fourth day we sealed off the bathroom and just shared the main bath with the kids. We liked that shower more anyway. We also put insect repellent on before going to sleep. Not so nice smelling but better than getting bit.

Another issue we had was a lack of privacy. Although they were friendly, we found the presence of the garden staff (and a couple of ladies) a little intrusive. Instead of waiting until we had gone out to do the majority of their work, they would come and go all day. Also, it seemed our villa was used as a shortcut for the gardeners and two women who didn't work there. They would come in the main gate and exit out a door behind the house, going right by our pool and bedroom windows. We ended up having to keep our curtains closed because we never knew when someone might stroll by.

Finally, the Coconuts Restaurant that delivers to the villas was a big disappointment. I was excited about the idea of not having to drag our boys to a restaurant every evening but instead ordering in supper and eating on the deck while they played in the pool. Our first night we tried to order but had so much difficulty with the woman answering the phone that we ended up calling Chris who in turn called the restaurant for us. When the food arrived it was, for the most part, lousy (the rice and fish were okay). I know Chris and Phil aren't involved in the restaurant but it is advertised as a perk if you are staying in their villas. We did give it another try later in the week with the same ordering issues (Chris ordered for us again but wasn't as happy to do it this time) and the food still was awful. They couldn't get Pad Thai or a cheeseburger to taste good. We ended up getting take out from a few different restaurants on Rawai Beach and they were tasty. There is definitely no shortage of places to eat in this area although having a car is highly recommended if you plan on going out for supper (unless you want to use a taxi). The roads can be dangerous to walk on especially after dark and it's quite a walk to Rawai Beach, especially for children.

If you wouldn't have a problem with the issues I mentioned above then you would most likely have a wonderful stay at Coconut Paradise Villas. Phuket is an incredibly beautiful island with lovely people. Enjoy!

      A Holiday in Paradise

Left on 10/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Two utterly fantastic weeks courtesy of The Coconut Paradise Villas.

This was my first time in Thailand, lots of friends and family have been before, so it was time to get myself out there. I chose the Coconuts as it had been recommended to myself and I can see why.

The villa itself was brilliant, very private (behind security gates and screened off from adjacent properties), well maintained, luxurious with its own private pool.

It is located about a 5 minute (if that) drive from the beach, perfectly walkable if you felt that way inclined. The staff are all very friendly and happy to help wherever possible.

There are many tourist destinations within driving distance, boat trips around the bay, even lazing on the numerous beaches.

What really impressed me about staying at the Coconuts was the service provided by Chris and Family, who are ex-pats themselves and have all the inside knowledge. Instead of just giving me a place to stay, they pointed out the best places to eat and visit, got me a cracking deal on some Bespoke suits, were able to help me rent a motorbike from a reputable company and made me feel right at home.

Really what you are getting staying here is an all round holiday experience. You don't spend your first week figuring out what to do and where to go, they help you hit the ground running so you can enjoy your holiday right away. Fantastic in every respect.

Without a doubt 100% recommended, I will definately be returning!

      Breathtakingly Beautiful!

Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012

After three glorious weeks at Coconut Paragise Villas' it was very difficult to return home. 'The Coconuts' is simply stunning - set within a tropical paradise, the villa is the ultimate in relaxed luxury. Everything is provided (and if you could think of anything that you needed that isn't already supplied it will be made available by Chris and Phil within minutes). Service is professional and friendly - the owners are there in a flash if required but never obtrusive. The pool is serviced and the villa is cleaned without guests even noticing. The properties are ideal for romatic get-aways, family holidays or larger gatherings. The gated community adds a feeling of security but in truth the local area is so friendly and welcoming that you feel safe everywhere. Within easy reach are stunning beaches, an eclectic selection of fine restaurants, opportunities for exotic adventures, shops, markets, temples, stunning scenery and eveything your heart desires. Or stay at home and phone (phone provided!) for your food or a massage. Ot call the local agent to the villa to arrange your sightseeing tours and adventures. Or just ring for a DVD from the extensive DVD library. Chris and Phil will happily arrange (very affordable) car hire or air-conditioned taxis. I could go on...but it would start to become indulgent. Over the years I've hired a number of villas - some have been good, some a bit dodgy and some very disappointing. The Coconuts at Coconuts Paradise Villas has been the best - ever - I can't recommend the owners and their beautiful villas highly enough. Add 'Stay at Coconut Paradise Villas' to your list of Things to Do Before I Die!

Thank you for a wonderful two weeks, Our "home away from home" experience has been superb. From swimming in the pool to cooking in the kitchen, from Nai Harn to Rawai it has been fantastic.

Each time we have driven 'home' over the hill from Patong I have felt a sigh of relief from the hustle and bustle of what Patong has become and was so thankful that we had not found accommodation there - this is such a fantastic little secret spot! It is like the Phuket of 20 years ago and it is so nice to know there are still pockets of it remaining. I hope it manages to stay as secret ... although we will be telling all our friends back in Brunei. So expect an onslaught of 'expats' needing a beer and a home away from home!

Many Thanks for your wonderful hospitality.
