The Cyrano is located in the historic part of Paris named Le Marais, on a calm little street 1 minute away from the Pompidou Center.
Just everything is at your door:
- Museums: the Pompidou center of course (which is the "temple of modern art"), the Louvre less that 10 minutes away, the Picasso Museum, le Musee Carnavalet, l'Hotel de Sully...
- Monuments: Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, la Sainte Chapelle, Bastille, Opera... The Eiffel Tower (which is not in the very center of Paris) is about 20 mn away by metro. The Champs Elysees avenue is less than 10 minutes away by metro.

It was the well-designed and informative web site offering several rental propeties rather than one "too good to be true" rental opportunity that rightly convinced me that Isabelle was a legitimate business person. Happily, my instincts were correct and this marks the second time I have rented on this site.
The detail accompanying each rental property lets you know exactly what to expect. In addition, a detailed guest book guides you through use of the wi-fi (bring your own computer), television, and telephone in addition to providing other practical advice.
You may be surprised at how small the apartments and their facilities are or how austere most entrance ways are but, if so, you probably have not carefully read the detailed description that accompanies each unit. Paris is not generally a city of modern high rise apartment buildings but mostly apartments in older buildings. You are told the size of each apartment and even how many steps you have to climb if there is no lift. The studio units are typical of how similarly situated Parisians live. If you want a taste of genuinely living in Paris, then do not hesitate to use this site. If you want all the amenities of home or home as you envision it, then check into a five star hotel.
A real plus in my mind is the free WiFi and free long distance calls to land lines (and in some cases cell phones) in most major countries. The biggest plus is Isabelle herself who is prompt in returning phone calls and anxious to ensure that her guests are not having any problems. She is prompt in returning the security deposit if you have left the apartment in good order. Besides that, for those who have little or no French, she is fluent in charmingly French accented English.
It is difficult to rate this rental for the reasons given above. I have chosen only average because of the absence of a lift but I knew that when I rented. The rental experience with Isabelle would merit an excellent.

My husband and I stayed at the Cyrano for a week. We loved the apartment! It is cute, small, and cozy with all the basic amenities. It is in a quiet neighborhood very close to 3 metro stops, stores, and many historic sites. We enjoyed our time there and felt at ease with Isabelle's honest and prompt responses. We hope we can stay there again when we visit Paris in the future!
