Description from the manager

This beautifully furnished log home sits at the base of the Beartooth Mountains conveniently located just a mile south of Red Lodge. The cabin offers three bedrooms, 1-3/4 baths and a cozy living room with plenty of windows to watch the wildlife meander by. The cabin is decorated with a Western flare and includes a wood burning stove perfect for those cool Montana nights. Large open decks overlook a small seasonal stream all nestled in pine and aspen trees. Step into the hot tub while you enjoy the star filled sky. If you`re lucky, you may even see a bear under the crescent moon!

Nice cabin, quiet area, could update a few things

Left on 04/20/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Overall we enjoyed the cabin and had a great time skiing. Family of five with plenty of room. Since we own a cabin and rent it, I have a few suggestions.

We brought our own Wifi for the long weekend. Otherwise that would be a nice asset to add for visitors.

When we rent cabins we plan to make meals at the cabin. It would be nice to have a few more pans/bowls/etc. There are some very basics but some pans are in rough shape. Finding pans and serving dishes were a challenge. It would have been nice to have a few condiments avavilable also.

A gas grill would have been nice, but the charcoal worked well.

Loved the location in the sense of being out of town yet close to town. It is probably very nice in the summer with the creek behind the cabin.

Great place; great space; great location!

Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We were two sets of grandparents perfect for first floor bedrooms +
Mom & Dad and three small children-
one six year old andthreeyear old twins -
so the big loft room with it's own bath was
perfect for them. Little ones could be in
bed upstairs behind French doors while adults
could sit up. The quiet little reading nook on
      the loft was good addition.

The children loved it instantly. When 6
year old Gillian walked into the big open living room
She shouted "This is the best day of my Life!

      Everything we expected and more

Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We rented Bear 'n Crest over New Years for four nights. From booking the cabin until the day we left was everything we had hoped for. Piney from aAa Rentals was great to work with and was quick, (one hour), in getting kindling to us to start a fire in the fireplace/stove. Everything in the cabin worked well-no problems. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a large holiday dinner for eight. The ambiance is a true cabin in the woods with town being less than two miles away. The hot tub was great! It was checked daily for level, cleanliness and chemicals. This cabin is one of those places you are reluctant to put in a good review in fear of others making future bookings difficult. I had to do it though, it is well deserved.

      The time of our lives

Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We went to Red Lodge during the motorcycle rally. The location was perfect, close enough to town that we didn't have to worry about getting home safely (deer, bikes, etc.) but far enough away for peace and quiet.
We didn't spend much time inside, but know it would be a wonderful winter retreat.
The only problem we had was the refrigerator was not cold when we arrived, so we had to throw away almost all of the food we had taken. Fortunately Pizza Delivery comes all the way out there!
We would and will absolutely do it again, we just won't bring food all the way from home.

It's everything we had hoped for.

Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was out of town, so it had a very country feel and yet close enough to get to the slopes within minutes. We couldn't have had a better experience.
