      So peaceful and cozy!

Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013

My husband and I went on a little get away vacation and stayed at Cabin at Point of Rocks. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and it was so nice to have the river a few feet right off your back deck. During our stay, it snowed 2 of the days and the hot tub was the perfect experience to be in while it snowed! Very peaceful, and is so nice to have a fireplace to sit around and enjoy the day.

River right off the back deck! Fun time making S'mores! View while sitting in the hot tub!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was very relaxing and quiet. It was nice to wake up and go outside and see Rock Creek first thing in the morning. We highly recommend this cabin.

Lovely setting close to town with some pros and cons

Left on 03/06/2013 for a stay in February 2013

This cabin is situated on Rock creek and on the highway. Beartooth Highway is beautiful, but is closed most of the year and therefore, there was not a lot of traffic, which we expected. (During the summer, expect a lot of traffic and noise from the road.) The creek was beautiful and the trees offered some privacy. When the leaves are on the rest of the trees, I would imagine that it is even more phenomenal and more private. The decks were amazing!!! The hot tub was nice, but not very private. (It faces the highway where cars are driving by and people walked by.) The lid to the hot tub is very heavy and it was a bit gunky, but all in all, it was nice. We read the reviews on Trip adviser and Flip Key prior to reserving and noted the pros and cons. For us, the location was a pro! It is a few minutes ride to Red Lodge if you want to enjoy what the town has to offer and then a really nice setting with a home like feel back at the cabin. Other pros included the creek, deck and trees. Here are the cons: there were dead flies all over the cabin when we arrived! The bathroom is not small, it is tiny! There were not enough towels and the ones that there were, smelled like pizza (red pepper, garlic, etc.) There was a kitchen, but it really was not function able. The microwave did not work, there was not counter space, crumbs in the oven, holes in the dirty floor, etc. The main bedroom had a closet full of junk and the other small bedroom had no closet. Most of the dressers were filled with junk (think junk drawers). Basically, there was not anywhere to unpack your things. Do not lift the cushions on the sofa! Yuck!!! We paid a $75. cleaning fee for a two bedroom (and only used one) and left it cleaner than we found it. It snowed 18 inches and no one digs you out. Keep that in mind. So, here are my suggestions: Get rid of a few pillows, so guests have somewhere to put there things. Most of all, lower your cleaning fee and really clean the place!

      Moose on the loose

Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We arrived at the cabin, set down our luggage and proceeded to relax on the cabin's wonderful deck which overlooks Rock Creek. Within 10 minutes I noticed the brush along the creek, directly below the cabin's deck, start to sway. But there was no wind! A moment later a young bull moose emerges from the brush. He spent a good twenty minutes getting a drink and eating some aspen leaves right in front of us on the deck. That was fun.
The cabin is wonderfully constructed, but I was hoping for a little more seclusion. The cabin is very private, but the location is close to Red Lodge. Nothing can be done about that though, and every other aspect was great. I guess if one wanted a location convenient to Red Lodge this place is perfect.

      Perfect

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Cabin at the Point of the Rocks can not be beat!! You can not beat the breathtaking views and the rushing river while you sit out on the large wrap around deck. The interior is decorated in beautiful rustic decor and has a very comfortable feel to it. It was very clean and has a great layout.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful cabin, in a beautiful area.

What an amazing location and cabin!

What a beautiful location and wonderful little cabin! This cabin has the perfect blend of being a historic structure with all the modernization you could ask for. The location, right outside of Red Lodge was fantastic. We really enjoyed the cabin and all the little touches that make it feel like home. What an amazing deck! Having coffee right on the deck over the beautiful creek was a great start to every day. Thanks so much for such a great stay!!

      Cozy, peaceful cabin

Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Due to last minute weather issues, my sister and I decided to not camp in the Beartooths and rent a cabin. Cabin at Point of Rocks was a great choice with easy access to hiking and Red Lodge. Rock Creek was the perfect backdrop and it was private and perfect for two girls to enjoy time together and celebrate my sister's upcoming marriage. Check in was a breeze and the cabin was neat and clean. I would defintiely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a getaway.
