What makes Okeanides Rethymnon villas different from all the others?

1. We are the only Vacation Rental property, ideal for villa holidays in crete, that provides our Guests with a very discrete Villa Manager who lives in the area in a separate house, to help you with your stay and be there for you for whatever you need at no extra charge. The Villa manager can also bring your groceries to the Villa without any extra charges (other than the shopping bill...), or guide you in places during your stay, help you organize your trips, give you tips for the island you will otherwise would not find anywhere else. For us, throwing you the keys and leaving you without a helping hand is out of the question, so you get more than a holiday villa.Crete is also well known for its hospitality, and this could not be missing from our unique blend.

2. We offer more than any of the other villas on Crete. Surely the only out of all the villas in rethymnon that offers you a full breakfast buffet with no extra charge - our clients were so happy so far that we decided to extend breakfast for the full season, beyond August, and upto the end of September and mid October. We found out that breakfast while renting a Villa solves a big issue our guests had: having to wake up early, start preparing morning meals for everyone, going out shopping for breakfast, or eat it out; doesn't sound like a relaxing holiday, does it? 3. We are the only vacation rental that offers complimentary meals to those who stay for 7 nights or more; depending on your length of stay (7 nights upwards) you will have 1-3 delicious meals cooked for you by the villa manager (who is also a qualified chef) and delivered to your villa. You can even agree with the villa manager the meal you wish to have cooked. Free of charge (offer applies for all months except July-August).

We want our visitors to refresh themselves for a full year escaping daily routine. Change it to letting their senses free to enjoy spectacular sunrises and majestic sunsets in beautiful natural surroundings having their own villa in crete with pool and full amenities.

We want our visitors assured that someone else is taking care of them and their loved ones for a while. We help them relax and enjoy a week or two off, with a bit of privacy. Maybe resting on a summer bed all morning and afternoon next to their private Jacuzzi swimming pool, reading books. Many villas in crete with pool have jacuzzi, but few have the sea views we offer! Or take it easy, sipping coffee from their balcony starring at the seafront while our rich inclusive breakfast buffet is being prepared.

Others spend their days playfully snorkeling or fishing at the small beach-an easy 10-15 minute walk- diving in the warm crystal sea; there are other beaches in the area at driving distance, much larger and much better for you to choose from and do your swimming and tanning. You can also enjoy real Mediterranean food made by a local family on a small tavern next to the sea just nearby.

For the really active people we arrange sea sports and sea boat trips locally. Not to mention arranging excursions, visits, safaris and tours through many established offices in Crete.

For those wishing to keep up with their office, we fire up our Wireless Internet and keep their laptops connected and working happily at speeds reaching 10MBps, at no extra cost.

Rates shown for the months of March, April, May and October are for up to 6 people stay. For additional guests there is an extra fee of 20 Euro per guest per night.
Rates shown for the months of June, July, August and September are for a 6 people stay. For additional guests there is an extra fee of 30 Euro per guest per night.

There can be two additional guests at anytime, as the maximum capacity is 8 persons.

  We stayed at apartments late may/early June. Although we felt the apartment was quite pricey the owner gave us a discount as we booked in advance.
  
  The apartment
  It was excellent, it had everything we wanted and more. Endless hours relaxing in garden and playing in pool, also enjoyed utilising the BBQ. There was more than enough space for 6 adults and one baby. It was also very clean.
  
  Location
  The views from the apartment were stunning (especially the sunset). It overlooked a bay and in the distance you could see the local town. There was a local Taverna and beach that was about 10-20 mins walk (depending on which direction you were going as its a very steep hill down to beach). Wouldnt really recommend the local Taverna as there was always food missing from menu and there was much better to offer in Bali (10 mins by car). The local beach wasn’t great either, although it was very quiet we felt it was a bit dirty – if it was cleaned and had more sand it would be fine (maybe they do this during peak season).
  
  The apartment is very private and located 10 mins away from small village called Bali, this village is in the middle between Heraklion and Rethymno. One of the main reasons why we chose this apartment was the close proximity to Heraklion airport however it was very hard to find (we had our host pick us up from airport).
  
  Bali is a nice village, good beaches (the one at the very end of cove is best but hard to get to) and decent restaurants/bars however it is lacking in character. The other thing it was lacking was a decent supermarket – we had to go into Heraklion or Rethymno to get our main shop
  
  Service
  Couldnt fault the service at all as John was an excellent host. He lives in a small villa next door to the apartment and always willing to help or offer advice. He met us at the airport to make sure we got to the villa ok. The flight landed on time at around 01:00 am however the our hire car was not dropped off for another 1.5 hours. John kindly stayed with us and spoke to the local hire company to speed up delivery.
  John also provided complimentary breakfast each morning which was very satisfying.

  A lovely stay

  I booked in Okeanides for ten days in October and we arrived with my wife and three children; we were late for our holiday but we were lucky with our choice, as the house was more than what we expected, and the price very reasonable. The only problem we found was that the Internet connection was unreliable, and for a few days we were left without E-mail. But the problem was fixed-God knows how they manage to provide Web access at this reagion - and we were back on track.

  We spent two weeks in May last year and we had a wonderful time! The villa was absolutely fabulus and the views to the sea magnificent. Cudos to John for his breakfast and for being there for us 24/7!

  Two weeks of pure relaxation

  Our holiday last year was in Crete at a place near Rethymon called Bali. The house we stayed was very nice, clean and the person that ran the helpdesk, Giannis, polite and always there when we needed something. The good things about the place was the accommodation, and the location. The sea was just across the road with umbrellas and everything and the kids had the time of their life. There was a small family taverna where we ate every afternoon, and we were doing barbeque almost every night. We never used the TV and the stereo as we had plenty of things to do all day. The negative was that we did not have Internet access, at least not when we were there. And also, it would be nice to have a breakfast added. Otherwise it was a good choice, and we will surely try to book for this year for at least a week.
