This home is beautiful... you can tell it's newly build and it's very clean and spacious. The upper floor was much larger than the lower floor but it worked out well for our family. The upper floor had high vaulted ceiling and very open space in the kitchen area and the master bedroom was so big that you can have at least 6 additional people sleep on the floor! My one year old had a great time exploring around these spacious rooms:) This rental home was only about 10 mins away from the tahoe lake and casinos and the neighborhood was very quiet and clean. This was a beautiful house! It's new and very tastefully designed. You can tell the owners were very particular and have good taste. The house was very comfortable and in a nice quiet street. The only issues I have with the house is it is far from town and the walls are very thin. All the noise from upstairs is magnified 5X to the bedrooms downstairs. My son was playing upstairs and dropped a small wooden block on the floor. The people sleeping downstairs described it as a really loud booming noise. I'm not sure what it is but it's probably the wooden floors and just the way the house was structured. So if you're sensitive to noise, I don't think it's the right place for you. This is the first time I've ever rented a vacation home in South Lake. The online online process was easy. The staff was friendly and had everything ready for me when I arrived in Tahoe. This house was beautiful and worked really well for my large group of family (8 adults and 4 kids). There was plenty of space for everyone and the bunk beds were perfect for the kids! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need and the pantry was huge! The only issue were the stairs as my mother had recent surgery and it was difficult with stairs in every part of the house (literally, to get in the house, living room, downstairs bedrooms, and even the garage!!) So, if you have elderly people that are not able to take a lot of stairs, this may not be the house for you. It worked out ok though. We brought a pack of toilet paper, but didn't need it as all the bathrooms were stocked with one or two extra rolls. Also, I thought there would be a hot tub, but there isn't. It was just a jet tub in the master bath. The BBQ was charcoal, so don't forget to bring that. Short drive to the casino, lake, and stores (Raleys).
