Advanced Review for Blue Ridge Getaway - Carolina Mornings   For a large group, a nice partner to Above the Clouds Reviewed by: jaceral from Raleigh, NC Reviewed on: 09/05/2008 for their stay in 08/2008 We are so glad we were able to find to cottages so close together (this and Above the Clouds are less than half a mile). 12 friends were together for a weekend and we were able to comfortably sleep 6 in each cottage. This cottage doesn't really have a nice mountain range view but the living room is cozy and there is a hot tub. The driveway is a little tricky; it is a on a very steep slant and a motorcyclist had a difficult time driving the bike into the parking area (several of us had to push it the final 100 years or so) and a truck got stuck backing out of the drive as its rear tires ended up off the driveway. The beds were comfortable and it is so close to a breakfast diner that makes its own sausage (YUM!) and about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. What I liked least about this accommodation: Lack of a view. I selected this accommodation because of: Museums/Cultural/Historical sites, Outdoor/Adventure, Other   My personal tips: A little breakfast diner! There is a little old-fashion motor lodge (painted white) with a small diner in the rear middle of rows of units. That little diner makes its own delicious sausage. Breakfast that include their patty sausage is a must. Did I mention the sausage is delicious!
