Beautiful Home

We were two couples who rented this house. We had never been to Kauai before. the house was absolutely beautiful--the funiture--the pool--facing the ocean. There were some issues for us---
1)There was no air-conditioning----coming from California, where we have no humidity with our heat, it was hard to dry off, and sleep.
I inquired about the air-conditioning before deciding to rent it, and was told that there was a strong breeze that came through the house, so we wouldn't need it. Well, there was a strong breeze, but it never came in any of the bedrooms, because of the weird windows. And even with the breeze, it was HOT!
2) Another thing that you can't escape on this island---rousters----everywhere !!
They start crowing around 4 AM. And you can't close your windows, or you will suficate.
We won't be back, we like the Big Island and Maui better, but anyone who can tolerate the humidity, and crowing rousters will love staying here.

Thank you for your review.

You must have been here during an unusual time when the trade winds were not blowing - sorry it was so hot for you. I've doubled the window size for air flow in the master bedroom since your stay. I've been staying in my home for the past two months and the trades have been blowing strong and steady every day, which is typical.

The roosters have been moving on to other areas of the island due to my rooster relocation program and "encouragement" to leave the area. :)
