Just as the online pictures promised: a spacious, well-appointed and nicely decorated unit with a fabulous view of the Yacht Harbor and Magic Island. Our 3-yo daughter loved the pull-out bed and we enjoyed being able to retreat to the bedroom.
The bed was luxurious and fresh. We can't recall the last time we slept so well. Although there is nightlife along the marina, the unit is high up enough so it is quiet.
The bathroom had plenty of towels and the housekeeping crew does a great job. There are even spare towels and a couple of folding chairs for the beach. There are laundry facilities on site.
The kitchen has everything and there is enough space to make pretty good meals and enjoy them. The dishes and utensils were good quality and the appliances worked well.
The unit has free wireless Internet and it was not hard to set up: there is a cheat sheet that has all of the log-in info.
The building is located near the HHV lagoon (renovated in 2008) and it was a short walk to the lagoon and the adjoining beach. We were in the water every day and our 3-yo could walk each way.
The Chart House, located off the lobby, has nice atmosphere and great food and service. There is a casual pizza place around the corner that has a friendly bar. There are several other dining options within a block of the building.
If you are renting a car, there is convenient covered parking in the building. You can sign up for a monthly pass at the booth if you are staying more than 10 days (cheaper that way and no tickets to lose).
We'll be back. What a find this was.

About 15 minutes by car on Kapahulu Avenue, there is a Safeway supermarket that is one of the best ones I have seen in Hawaii. They have everything and the service is friendly. BUT, to take advantage of their prices, you have to sign up for their Kama'aina card. Do so before you start shopping.
