Comfortable and roomy

Having stayed at another unit a few of years ago, I must say this unit was much nicer in terms of comfort and amenities. The sectional couch was perfect. It accommodated 4 adults comfortably and allowed for someone to lay down when one of us sat in the over-stuffed chair!

The kitchen was well-equipped with every gadget you could need. Loved the fact that there were TV's and ceiling fans in each bedroom, also the the ceiling fan in the master bathroom.

The furniture is beautiful, though I think the owners went a little overboard on decorations (silk plants and nicknacks on every surface). I had to move the flower arrangement on the small table in the master bathroom that hid the light switches or else I'd definitely end up breaking it.

Three suggestions for improvements:
a. Need better window treatments for the master bedroom sliding door. In the evening when the lights are on in the master bath, people can see you naked in the shower on the street below. I showered with the closet door fully open to block the view to the patio and chose to shower in the dark.

b. Window treatments in the living room/dining rooom area for privacy would be nice. Felt like we were in a fish bowl with the neighbor to the side able to see everything we did.

c. Get a better cleaning service. The place seemed clean to the initial eye, but when we went to use things, we found them dirty. e.g. our first morning all the dishes we pulled out had coffee and food on them. It was obvious someone unloaded the dishwasher before the dishes were clean. As a result, we had to wash everything we used including the flatware. The carpets had stains. The floors in in the master bath had hair on them. There was sand in the shower. The stove and oven were dirty.

I truly feel we should be refunded a portion of our cleaning deposit for the hassle we had and the mess we encountered.

Also, we caught the neighbor trying to loosen the light bulb on the front porch one night.
