Note from the owners:
My husband and I have been able to stay at this unit off-season, and enjoyed the change of pace compared to the crowds in the summer. The beach has been renourished and is amazingly expansive. The unit itself has been updated with new flooring and drapes, new dryer and dishwasher, and improved internet/cable/phone connections. Nicely done.
Out-dated is one thing, filthy and unmaintained is another!
Wilgus should do a much better job fully disclosing the condition and location of this unit. They advertise a deck...it faces (at close range) high-voltage lights at a gas station. The unit had trash laying around, was not vacuumed, had old food in the frig, blinds laying on the floor and stained bed covers. More...

You are absolutely correct in stating that out-dated is one thing and filthy and unmaintained is another. I am terribly sorry that you encountered one of our units like this. I have forwarded your remarks to the owner of the property and also to our cleaning coordinator.

Good for the price, but could be better.
I was not happy that check in was so late, 3:00, and that upon arrival it didn't look very clean. The floors were not all that clean and the closets were just a mess with blankets, pillows, etc. The price was very good for the location, but I think they could have done a better job cleaning in between guests. Our stay was just OK.
I was not overly ecited about this rental. The cable TV did work when we arrived. It took a few phone calls to get it resolved(turned out service was shut off because of non-payment) The TV in the bedroom was ancient. The microwave did not work. The patio furniture was so flimsy that my husband fell over backwards when he leaned on the back of the chair. More...

Thank you for your feedback. The owner apologizes for the cable mishap and we were able to get power restored the same day. The unit is not fancy, but is clean, inexpensive, and close to the beach with a community pool. As far as the plastic lawn furniture, it is designed for sitting and if you lean on it, it will collapse.
A good value for the money
#1 Sea Pines is a good value for the cost of the rental. It was a little run-down (several pieces of furniture were broken, the phone didn't work at all the whole time we were there, the cable didn't work on the downstairs television from Tuesday until we left). The other thing that bothered me was that when we got there, the kitchen floor hadn't been mopped. There was sand all over. I had to run the sweeper before we even brought our things inside. But, on the up side, we loved having access to a beautiful swimming pool. Overall, it worked very well for a family of five. More...
