This house is in a wonderful location, close enough to the beach to easily walk without paying the high price of a beach front rental. My daughter and I walked into Duck every morning -- it is a nice walk and fun to be able to shop without driving the car to the shops.

The house is large and can accommodate at least 12 people comfortably. Outer Banks Blue rental company (I would recommend this company) has some wonderful advantages -- keyless entry so no waiting at the rental office for a key, and free sheets on all beds, and towels in all bathrooms. No more lugging linens to the beach! The house was comfortable and had many windows.

However, if you are looking for amenities, this is NOT the house for you. Despite the glowing description, the TV in the main room is very small and probably 10 years old. The DVD player was ancient and did not play many of the DVDs we brought with us.

The living room area will only seat 6 people at a time, so a large group cannot watch TV there. The wireless internet did not work (my daughter is an IT genius and she could not get it working). The kitchen is OK, but with a 10 year old coffee maker, for example, and the rugs need shampooing and the place needs an interior paint job. There are repairs to be made (towel bar in one bathroom broken and on the floor). This property definitely needs a "face lift." Almost all of the outside light bulbs were not working, so I had to call the office for new ones. Beach chairs stored in a closet off the pool area were all broken and rusted. We did not try the barbeque grill so I do not know if it worked. You get the picture. We rented off-season so it was worth the price we paid for normally higher priced Duck on the Outer Banks, but I would not pay the price there for an in-season rental in this house.

A great week of weather left us relaxed and refreshed. The dogs also had a great week of surf and sand. Looking forward to returning next year.

First time staying at this property and we were very happy with the experience. Furnishings were good, close walking distance to the beach and a nice pool. I'd definitely stay there again.

Nice house, very close to the beach. Comfortable beds and bedrooms, nice kitchen and pool area. Living room furniture not very comfortable. You can see the ocean a bit from the top deck and hear it at night. Wooded area behind house is nice, but electrical wires running through it take away from that view. Tough area for bike riding. Corolla is better.

We loved our vacation to Sea Turtle.
The house was great, and the location perfect. A short walk to the beach, which is very dog friendly, and a pool to enjoy back at the house. It was relaxing, and a great value for the location/ammenities.

What a great time my family of 11 and I had staying at Sea Turtle. It was the first time in 25 years our whole family got to stay together. We all had a great time watching the foxes. They must really be use to people because they would come pretty close to you. The house was alot closer to the beach then we thought so that was nice. It was just a great location. Close to Duck shops if you choose to shop we spent most of our time at the beach and pool. Thanks to the owners of this property for letting my family and I stay at such a beautiful home. We made memories that will last a life time.

We stayed at the Sea Turtle for a week in May. We brought our 10 month old daughter and we had a very nice family vacation. There was a highchair and a pack and play for her to sleep. The family room was nice and spacious and bright. Only 5 houses from the beach, a lot closer than we expected. There is also a tent which we used on the beach which worked out great. A little cool so we did not use the pool. Not many other renters around us, which was fine by us.
Since this was our first time renting we were not sure what to bring. We should have brought a sponge to wipe the counters and soap for the dishes.
Overall we loved the house and plan to go back there every year.

This was our second year at Outer Banks and renting a home. Our
daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons were with us. The Sea
Turtle was perfect for our three generations... walking distance to
the beach and walking distance to the village of Duck.

The accommodations were more than expected...a fully equipped
kitchen, laundry facilities, books, videos, puzzles, decks on second
and third levels, a gas fireplace for rainy days or cool evenings, and
a lovely grill for cooking outside. It was a wonderful experience
and many fond family memories were made that I'm sure our
grandsons will have for years to come.

We're already looking forward to returning next year. As we see our
grandsons grow we want to make the most of it while we can. Our
thanks to the owners for sharing their homes and making this
possible!
