We are a group of 5 women who love to spend a week in the Duck area in October each year. This home was perfect for us, great rooms, access to the beach was so easy and we had a full moon the whole week to watch rise every evening from the deck! Kichen had everything we needed. We will be back!

Good House |

| Overall it was a good house. There were some issues like only one of the dishwashers working, an ant issue in the kitchen, and the air conditioning not working very well in the second flood master suite. Beach access was great, shower head pressure was wonderful, and the basketball hoop made the vacation. |

Each year we rent a different home and have been doing so for the past 5 years.
This was the best so far. Made you feel at home. Our weather wasn't the best to start out with but it didn't make any difference because this place was GREAT.
I hope we are as lucky to find another place like this in 2009 |

I would recommend staying at the Avalon. On our check in day the owners of the property had a welcome basket delivered to us.
The Avalon has everything you could ever want. We had the whole family during our stay at the home under one roof and never felt on top of each other. From the game room to the two master suites and laundry..this house has it all.
Will definitely be back! |

| I already wrote that the house was dirty when we checked in - the carpets were very dirty - the outside grounds were in need of some attention - lots of sand by the door to the walk to the beach. |

Thank you for your feedback on this home. Since your stay we have had the carpets cleaned, and the owner will be addressing their overall condition in the off season.
The exterior grounds have been policed for trash and debris, but I assume you may be addressing the natural setting that the owner has decided to leave the landscaping at the property. We will be sure to pass your thoughts along to the owner that the grounds may need some attention.

Our stay at Avalon was more than we could have asked for. The place was GREAT. We have been going to the Outer Banks for the last 5 years and this was our favorite house yet.
Very homey, comfortable, clean, well maintained etc..The pictures on the web really didn't do it justice it was much nicer.
This is a rental you don't want to miss out on. I just hope others don't want to book it on the same week we do for next year... |
