We spent a long weekend in Big Bear and Eagle Landing was the perfect place to stay. A matter of fact, it was so perfect, we enjoyed just hanging out at the house.

Although the weekend we stayed ended up with freezing temperatures and a dusting of snow one night, we were able to take advantage of everything Eagle Landing had to offer including lounging in the spa, playing pool, watching movies, and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

The place was clean and very comfortable for our family. We would definitely stay again and would recommend Eagle Landing to others.

Home was fairly nice, except that two of the four beds were basically worn out and very uncomfortable (brother and his wife chose to sleep on floor), sofa bed and roll away bed were completely unusable (even for a teenager), and the lack of screens on upstairs windows made loft unbearably hot and unusable --- there is no air conditioning at this home. Lake front access and private boat dock was not as advertised --- I could not dock a ski boat due to poor condition of dock and low water condition of lake --- even fishing boat had problems due to weeds. Adjacent homes have boat docks out another 20 to 30 feet or more. Prior to arrival, I phoned office to verify condition of dock and lake water level to dock a large ski boat, and office assured me it was all okay, one of the best years they've had, but the boat dock was unusable due to low water and heavy weedy condition, such that we had to pull boat out each day and park in front of house on narrow street --- office only offered to let me dock boat at Shore Acres Lodge, which was same low water level and very weedy condition. Also, drive-thru driveway was too narrow with too sharp turns for even a fishing boat & trailer. Also, refrigerator ice maker valve leaked and couldn't be fixed by serviceman during our stay, leaving puddle and pile of towels on kitchen floor to walk over, and water turned off at kitchen sink. All in all, this could have been a much nicer first time experience if all of the above problems had not occurred. I will definitely make the drive to check out the property before renting from Big Bear Vacations next time. Overall, much over priced for what we got.

Thank you for your response. We will note the dock access and make sure it is farther out in the lake.As for the air conditioning, there is not a sustained hot temperature in Big Bear, so there are very few homes with air conditioning

Ideal lakefront location with magnificent views and close to the village. Lots of room and the three levels allowed activities to go on in different areas. The children used the library area as their own separate play area.

The house could use some updating and refreshing such as new mattresses, fresh paint, new barbeque, outside cleaning, etc.

We enjoyed our stay and would rent it again.

The place was run down. It was probably nice 10 years ago, musty smell, not worth the money.

This is my first time renting a lakefront property with my families. The house is very nice and comfortable, all my family members enjoyed. But there are minor things that this house could possibly need improvement on, 1)the air condition is already preset at abnormal temperature and we are not allowed adjust the dermostat. 2) the jacuzzi is also preset and the water temperature is not warm at all. 3) the downstair bathroom toilet does not work very well and the shower most of the time run out of hot water.
pin Manager Response: July 10, 2008
Very few homes in Big Bear Lake have air-conditioning. If there is air-condiontioning it will be listed as an ammenity. It is not listed for this house. Thermostats are preset to accomodate an arrival at a house but can be reset by any guest. Our spas also can be reset by the guest. Our maintenace department is available to help with any ammenity that does not work. We have noted the issue of the problem with the downstairs bathroom and having it rectified.

House was very clean and roomy! Exactly as described in preview. Hot tub only holds 4 at most though and the foosball table has one broken defender. Great service and we're planning on going back next year for sure!

We have notified the owner of the property regarding the broken foosball defender. Thank you for letting us know of this problem.

3 families from different cities went there off season, got a great deal to stay 3 nights. The rooms are clean and nice, brothers played pool and went fishing together, it felt like back in old time with my parents and brothers and sisters. Now with our own kids, the whole family is closer than ever! I just hope that they can have the fire place downstairs working, it was still cold in April, and have the dock connected to private property. We had lots of fun, I will go back again!
pin Manager Response: July 10, 2008
The dock has been reattached. The lower fireplace is a wood burning fireplace and should be ok. It has been used with no problems.
