Nice, Could be better |

| We liked the location. The grounds had fun things to do for the kids. The cabin was too small, but would be acceptable if it had a couch in the living room rather than a 2 seater and if it was cleaner and in repair. We had 2 adults and one 9 year old. The main complaint we had was the disrepair and trash at the location. There was trash all over and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned up for awhile. In addition, one trash can had fallen over. We tried to clean it up, but it was too much. We called BBV and they said someone would come out and clean it up and no-one came. Please clean it up and we would like to come back. Thank you |

Rustic Cabin |

This little cabin was perfect for two adults (four would have felt crouded). It was rustic and was perfect for the type of holiday we wanted.
The location was practically on the lake, walking distance from town, and a close drive to all the hiking trails and golf course. It was quiet at night.
The only thing that was annoying was that the key wasn't properly cut, so it took a while to wiggle the door handle to tumble the lock to open the door each and every time. |

| Just a few things that we didn't like...the kitchen window and the bedroom window do not have window coverings. So much for privacy! The picnic table is so warped and damaged it can not be used and the boat dock cleats are missing bolts which allow the cleats to turn and gouge our boat as well as it is a tripping hazard for people walking on the dock or fishing off it. Other than that nice place. Also it is inconvenient to have to call to get someone to open the pool. Didn't understand why jacuzzi was open and not the pool? |

| Thnk you for your response to Lupine Unit 106 at Shore Acres Lodge. We are doing an extensive renovation at Shore Acres. The dock is also being worked on. The pool closes down every year at the beginning of September. The water is too cold for swimming. The spa is left open a little longer (into September) but is usually drained by October. This is the norm for outdoor pools. Please stay with us again. We have many other cabins for your use. Again, thank you for your survey reply. It will help us provide a better product to our clients. |

Little Place-Big fun! |

| I love camping but this year I wanted a step above. I researched this place on flip-key and trip advisor. I understood it was an older property and that a few folks didn't have a great check in experience. For us-well we couldn't find the front desk person for about 20 minutes and I noticed someone in the cabin we rented! I thought "oh-no" they were right! We found the check-in person assisting with a BBQ for all of the guests. She upgraded our cabin due to a misunderanding with the previous guest. It was fabulous! It was quiet and had a secluded feeling even though there are other cabins nearby. We used the dock for fishing, the pool and rented a boat that we could dock and load with our things right out of the cabin instead of hauling it all to the marina. The kitchen was well stocked and in working order, the furnishings were decent and overall a great experience!! I would return anyday! At the last minute we decided to bring our dog-what fun! Some folks think this is too pricey but if you like a pool, your own kitchen, lakeside and pet friendly-you can't beat it!! |

Thank you for such a pleasant stay. We came up for 2 nites and ended
up staying for another. The Beach was wonderful, the cabin a delight
and having the dock available was perfect.
We visit the Big Bear area several times a year and would definitely
refer the property to all our friends. |

The cabins are located 5 minutes from Big Bear's main tourist district and marina. This makes them close enough for convenience, but far enough away so you don't have to deal with all the people and traffic. Very nice.
There are million dollar private homes right next door to the cabin. Very, very nice. The pool and jacuzzi are well maintained. There is also ping pong, vollyball and horse shoes. It's not '5 Star' or even 'Holiday Inn'. It's rustic, and comfortable, and everyone (staff and other guests) is really friendly. One warning! The bed is HARD! Not firm, HARD. Be ready for that. The cabin is 100 ft. from the lake so be sure to bring everything water related you own. Boat, jet ski, kayak, canoe, surfboard, tubes, rafts, fishing poles. Bicycles, don't forget to bring some bicycles. Stay as many days as you can. You'll have a blast. |

Quaint Cabin, Dog Friendly! |

Shore Acres Lodge is a great, friendly place to stay for the family. Dog
friendly which was very important to us! The cabin was clean, quite
small. No fireplace. We would have preferred a different cabin at the
lodge but waited until last minute to book and that's all that was
available. Not much in the way of beach area but there is a boat dock.
Nearby to Big Bear Village. The Lodge has a community bbq Monday
Nights which was very nice.
We would go back to Shore Acres but would rent a different cabin.
Beds are hard as rocks. This cabin is overpriced considering the lack
of ameneties. |

| Cabin was ok. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Would not recommend for Winter time stay. There is only one wall heater in the front corner of the cabin and it did not reach the bedrooms or the bathroom. We were sleeping in our ski gear because we got so cold. The cabin next to ours had a fireplace and the people in there looked warm and cozy. I think this cabin would be better in the summer, with a short walk to the lake or the pool. |

| Thank you for response to Lupine at Shore Acres Lodge. We are undergoing capital improvements at Shore Acres. We have recently done some plumbing and pool repair. Shore Acres has become its own institution in Big Bear during its 100+ yer history. We are working on the grounds unit by unit. Again, thank you for your input. This helps us bring a quality product to our guests. |
