Clean, well furnished home probably sleeps 8 to 10. Up an unpaved road to mountain top views. Isolated but Asheville and all major attractions are close by

The cabin is beautiful. I had some issues after the 1st day because it had not been cleaned but Carolina rentals issued me a credit and offered to send someone to clean up as soon as they found out. This cabin is a little away from the main road and it gets pretty dark at night so that is something to remember. Overall, it was a v relaxing getaway.
The basement floor can use some general cleanup/updating. |

Well equipped house in a beautiful location. Wish the information notebook had included telling us that if we found ourselves taking cold showers that we'd need to turn on the hot water heater--didn't learn that until late into our two night stay.

Although we arrived late and it was dark the serenity we felt and could see was absolutely breathtaking! Upon awakening the next morning my children and I were just in awe. My son 10 was very captivated because he loves the outdoors, my daughter 18 months wasn't sure where she was but still seemed amazed and intriqued by the atmosphere. The cabin was purely authentic and cozy. The views from inside and on the deck were just amazing! We did not want to leave! The only con to the cabin was the stairs, only if you have little ones due to possible safety issues. Otherwise we completely enjoyed the trip and I think it will be a repeat every year if available.

We stayed here for a long weekend with my wife, parents and 8 month old child and absolutely loved it. It is secluded enough to get away from it all, but close enough to Asheville to get into town easily. The setting and the house are beautiful. The view off of the huge porch can't be beat. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We'll be back.

We spent 2 nights at the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the front of the house is beautiful, even in the rain. The time went by too quickly and we wished we could have stayed longer. It was great to have all of the linens and starter items provided - like hand soap and toilet paper. There is a slight musty smell in the bottom level.
The drive up to the house was a little challenging in the dark in the rain...a 1 mile gravel road that had steep turns at the top. We wished we had brought the 4 WD, not necessary, but it would have been more convenient.
