| Big Bear Retreat is everything it is described to be. We had a wonderful 7 day stay. The house was clean and all the ammentities of home. The view was just beautiful and the location was perfect. Coming from a big city we appreciated the privacy and the comfort. The location was perfect. We look forward to staying there again next year. |

Vacation in Asheville |

| The house is perfect for a couple or small family. It is very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay. The one issue we had was with the drive up the mountain to get to the house. It took about 15 minutes to travel approx 4 miles up the mountain - lots of switchbacks. If it weren't for this part of the drive, it would be a straight shot into Asheville. If you enjoy vacationing at a mountain top retreat, this house is your spot! |

This is a great cabin. It was comfortable and quiet, and we
appreciated finding a place that let us bring our pet. Loved having the
hot tub, too. We would definitely book this place again! |

A Return to Home |

We had a great time! I was born in Asheville, N.C. some 75 years ago, and also lived in Skyland and Arden, not far from Fairview, for 24 years. This was a return to home and God's country. The view was spectacular, the wild flowers were in bloom, the butterflies were busy and the birds were singing. It was North Carolina mountains at its best. Thank you, thank you for a glorious week!

This is a wonderful place to stay and relax. It was a perfect time of
year for the foliage and we have photos to prove it!
However, I have tried in vain to contact Asheville sites about a very
BAD restaurant, to alert people or to have some feedback from the
restaurant itself. Ed Boudreaux is to be avoided. The food was awful
and the place really dirty.
Sincerely, Hinda Ramsay
