My children had a grand time. We were not able to stay long enough to find the secrets of hot tub use and walking to the beach. I would definitely plan another trip.
This is great for young adults able to use stairs well. I did have a bit of a problem with stairs due to my neck fusions. |

This was our third year staying at a Mermaid rental for some summer family fun. We loved this condo! Enough room for everyone, quiet area, great for bike riding!
All of our Mermaid stays have been wonderful with nicely decorated rooms and some outdoor living space available. This place has a big back deck for grilling - fantastic morning breeze here. And a front porch with dining table - lovely evening breeze here. So, check out the breezes and don't forget your bikes! |

Though there were a few issues w/ the property itself (cleanliness, run-down patio furniture), Mermaid Cottages was spot-on when it comes to customer service! They were responsive, prompt, and did everything in their power to make the situation right. I would highly recommend staying at one of their cottages and will surely stay in one again.
Thanks,
Mike |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marsh Side Breeze. The home was spacious and super clean. Check in was a breeze. The home was within easy walking distance to the north beach but yet out of the way of traffic. The board games and books came as a pleasant suprise. My son and father in law spent one rainy afternoon playing a cut throat game of dominos. I cannot say enough good things about Tybee Island and it's people. I have yet to meet more gracious individuals. We hope to make this a family vacation spot for future vacations.
My one and only suggestion would be more inderect lighting provided in the living area. The overhead light is almost too bright to sit under comfortably. |

| Found this company's website. They had so many properties, and didn't have time to go through all so just emailed them directly w/what I needed. Responded quickly with a possibility. The property was perfect for us! It was well maintained, very cheerfully decorated, there were board games and books available. It was absolutely fabulous! I wish that they had properties all over the US as I would use them everywhere I traveled! |

| I stayed with my childern and my In'laws we had a very relaxing time. The cottage was cute and comfortable and spacious. We watched a dvd, we did the hot tub, we used the internet, and we just hung out. It was convienently located, and I would highly recommend it and mermaid cottage rentals. The rental company was a breeze to work with, they helped my vacation go off smoothely! |

| Suggestions: remove upstairs carpet and all the extra carpets that keep bunching up and tripping people and getting caught under doors. All wood or tile would look, feel, a stay cleaner. Replace shower inserts, they are peeling apart and feel unclean because of this. Replace ripped deck furnishings or remove altogether, really detracts from the setting. Use laundry spray to clean futon, looking like it has some very questionable stains on it, eeewww. Items that need to be added: pizza cutter, corkscrew, pen and paper. May need to clean out dryer vent piping, suggest using a leaf blower to purge the line, the dryer has to run a minumum of 2 hours to get things mostly dried and 3 cycles if towels on highest heated setting. Please do not get me wrong, the place is nice and convenient for a nice walk to the beach but far enough away for kids, and a quick hike to the Sugar Shack, yummy. It was fairly comfy and relatively clean compared to some other places we have stayed, but the a/c may also need service and spraying out of the systems coils in the outdoor unit. It hardly cooled below 80 degrees until the wee hours of the morning. If we end up doing the big family thing again, we will not hesitate to contact Mermaid Cottages. |

| This house is awesome! I highly recommend it to anyone. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon this year. The hottub was great. We love the decor, so bright and fun. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The house was very clean, and well maintained. It was even better than I had hoped for. Would be great for couples, families, or just groups of friends. It is in a great location. Nothing is very far away. If you don't want to go out to eat every night there is a full kitchen with everything you would need. We will definitely be renting here again! |

| We were in Savannah to greet my son who came home from Iraq (he is stationed at Fort Stewart). This was a nice place for us to stay and enjoy the beach, although it was a bit cold in the water. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every night. The bedrooms are nice and big and the furnishings were nice. Made you feel like you were at home. |

Beautiful home close to the beach!! |

First off, this home is beautiful. The interior is very spacious and
everything looked great. The rooms were excellent and the kitchen
was great for cooking in (very big and comfortable). And of course,
I need to mention the hot tub, which just made our nights.
This home is also very close to the beach. We had a fun walk -
about 4 blocks - to the beach, and could not have been happier
with what we got. A friend and I even rode the bikes they had there
- which I'm not sure if the owners meant for that since the bikes
were rather old and seemed likely to fall apart at any moment. We
still had fun with them though, but I wouldn't recommend doing
that.
Our only little complaint was that the building is very close to
surrounding buildings, which we didn't really realize until we got
there. This was only a problem since at night, the sound really
carries, and we actually received a noise complaint for being too
loud in the hot tub around 11:30 pm. We're rather young night owls
and didn't realize we were out at a time inappropriate for
surrounding neighbors. It's not really a complaint, but just a
reminder to be considerate, and that when they say family friendly,
they mean it. This wasn't a problem though; we just enjoyed the hot
tub earlier and drove into Savannah to check out the night life.
Ultimately, this was a most enjoyable vacation. For younger groups,
this is not a partying place as you will keep the neighbors up, but
rather, it is a very relaxing vacation spot.
One last mention... this was not too big of a deal, but the dish
washing machine actually overflowed on our last day. We called
them and they said they'd take care of it the next day, and I'm sure
they did. This home highly recommended! |

We rented the cabin during Easter weekend and were very impressed with the laid back manner in which Ms. Kaufman handled our rental and the flexibility that she provided in working out the logistics of relatives coming to town from all directions.
She was wonderful in providing directions to each and helped us with the arrangement of the key pick up beforehand. When we arrived the house was absolutely spotless!
A very nice place with a wonderful company. You couldn't possibly find a better place to rent, or rent from, than Mermaid Cottages! |
