We completed our 3rd year in a row staying at our summer retreat. The house is perfect for my wife and I and our two young boys. This place is not lakefront, yet it feels like it and we refer to it as our summer beach house. The private beach is perfect and we love the combination of wavy days or calm waters that come with staying on Lake Michigan. The trip is not long from the Chicagoland area yet we The outdoor shower is a nice touch for cleaning up before re-entering the "beach house". We've discussed going elsewhere yet it's difficult because we have a blast every year. The kids also enjoy having a fire and making smores on the private beach on a cool night. The staff who manages the property is professional and attentive to our needs. We definately recommend this house. The condition of the home is excellent. We cooked outside most of the time on the gas grill. We also enjoyed having breakfast or lunch on the front deck while we people watched as everyone was going down to the beach where the step leading to the beach were only about 50 feet from our door. Making trips back to the house are easy because our place is so close to the beach. If you rent this vacation home, take care of it while you are there so it's available to all of us for years to come. Have a great time!

This was our fifth year in the Townline house and we can't wait to go back in 2009. When we first rented the house our kids were 6, 6 & 1 and I was sure the house would be to small. I was wrong. Their is plenty of room for a family of 5. It is so warm and cozy, it feels like our own. We also love the outdoor shower on the back deck, what a great addition.

Being zero distance to the beach is also a huge plus with kids. In addition, we walk to the gelato store on the corner every night (bring your flashlight).

This little home is a Union Pier gem.

We have enjoyed staying at this property for the last three years. We have many favorites about this rental. The location is excellent you can see the beach from the house. The decor is a seaside retreat. A stocked kitchen with all conviences of home, a comfortable living room, a beautiful master retreat, a shower outside to get all the sand off. It is only minutes from the Dunes, shopping, and restraunts. You won't be dissappointed.

We loved how close to the lake the house is.
The house is big and with tons of light. It is very well stuffed.
Also is close to some small gracery shops where the kids could bike to buy things.
We have a very relaxing time

This home has great access to the beach, and has been remodeled nicely. It is a very pleasant home and very functional for a family. We enjoy the front and back deck, and the outdoor shower. This visit, however, the outdoor shower was very dirty and had leftover bottles of shampoo and soaps in the shower... we would recommend that the cleaning service also attend to the outdoor shower. (We scrubbed it ourselves this year.) The carpet was a bit more worn than our stay in 2007, probably could use a cleaning after this summer. Otherwise, the place is comfortable and we enjoy staying here.
