Quiet, clean, and charming
We enjoyed our stay at Beach House Condo. We have been coming down to Key West in Dec./Jan. since 1988 and have rented a private house or stayed at a hotel so staying at a condo was a first for us. We found the condo. clean, nicely decorated, private (very small outside out tub) and quiet. It is centrally located to many restaurants, shopping, moves and a wonderful beach. Other than a couple of suggestions which I will list I would highly recommend for 2-4 people. Also Libby from at home in key west was a fabulous realator to work with.
Suggestion:
1. More light in living room. Very dark at night with only one small lamp.
2. Lovely backyard but very uncomfortable chairs.
3. Dresser space in Master is very hard to get to (it is inside of a closet.

Perfect for the week
A 2-bdrm condo with very close proximity to Duval Street. Well maintained and decorated, plenty of linens (including beach towels)and a gas-BBQ in the backyard. Libby from at-Home provided a sweet little gift to remember 'the beaches.'
Thanks to the owners, Libby and "At-Home-Key West.' More...

great spring get away
We loved staying at Truman annex in Key West. It was so convenient, we walked everywhere. It was a nice condo with a large deck out back. Unfortunately, the beds were terrible and the pull out was unsleepable. They could invest in a better grade mattress for the beds to make a great vacation experience More...

Great Time a Truman annex Shipyard - Beach House Condo
We love the location of the Truman annex, as it is close to everything and a beautiful area. We walk everywhere, Mallory Square, Historic Seaport, etc., and our car is secured in a safe area. This was our second stay at the Beach House Condo. It was to our surprise that the Condo had just been repainted. Wow ... very bright and very Key West. We usually like to grill and sit out on our deck more, but painters were painting during the day, however, we did get to cookout in the evenings. Tried a few new places to eat ... love that you can walk there. We did have a couple of issues to be resolved and at Home In Key West, as always, were very accommodating and right on the ball. We have been going to Key West for the last 5+ years and will be making plans soon to return again next winter. We had a great time, weather was great and it is always a pleasure to rent from at Home In Key West. More...

Very comfortable and convenient!
We had a wonderful time at the Beach House Condo. It was very comfortable and convenient to the sights in Key West. We walked almost everywhere. It took awhile to get the hot tub adjusted, but other than that, we would recommend it highly. It was nice to have an internet connection also. More...

Nice Key West Condo
Nice Condo and very comfortable. Great Location and Rental Service
was very accommodating. Easy check-in and check-out.
The Kitchen needed a few small things for preparing meals, but we
had a new grill to cook on and enjoyed the colorful patio area. The DSL
was not able to connect, but there were wireless networks in the area
and by the pool that we ended up connecting to, so we were fine.
We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Nice Place and a Great Location
I stayed at this property with my husband and 14 year old son. We had rented with At Home in Key West for the 2006 spring break and did not hesitiate to use them again. At Home really knows their properties and is great to work with. We wanted a little bigger Shipyard Condo this time and At Home suggested the Beach House Condo. It has a good floor plan and the kitchen contained everything we needed. The unit was clean and well maintained. We did not use the jacuzzi. Although its not a house on the beach, the condos in Shipyard complex are a short bike ride from the best beach in Key West, Fort Zachary Taylor.

Convenient, Good Location, Better than a hotel
My family and I encountered a couple of issues while renting here. When we first arrived at the property, we discovered that the hot tub was not working. We were pretty disappointed, since this was the main reason why we chose this particular condo. We were never made aware of this issue prior to our stay. Management stated that they would have someone come out to the condo to fix it, but it turned out that the repair person was unavailable, leaving us without the hot tub. We did however get some money back from the management and they were apologetic about the whole thing. This condo was very clean and well maintained (aside from some ants, but what do you expect, it's florida). We really liked the fact that there was a washer and dryer in the condo and a full kitchen. Also, the two full bathrooms make it easy to stay with another couple. Overall, this was a good renting experience and I would probably rent here again.

Great Place, Great Week!
Our stay at the Beach House Condo was fantastic. The condo was clean, well taken care of, and a short walk to the beach and bars. It provided us with a great air-conditioned place to relax in between adventures. While it was upscale, it was laid back. We didn't feel guilty for being too loud or playing music late at night. I would highly recommend this location to any younger individuals looking to maximize their vacation rent money!! More...

Clean and conveniently located
I have stayed in Key West many times but will always go back to Truman Annex.
The units are clean, well furnished and walking distance to everyting. No parking issues either.

A stay in Paradise
I have been to Key West numerous times before but his was the first time at this property. As they say about real estate location, location, location! Truman Annex is the meaning. Well maintained upscale property. The grounds are very nice and provide an interesting walk. There are condo units and very large private homes.
The pool area is a nice place to sit read a book and work on your suntan.
The Blue Haven restaurant is just a short walk up Thomas Street. A must do brunch. Give the Sea Food Benedict a try it is out of this world. A Saturday brunch will be an experience you will never forget. Be sure to get there as close to opening as possible otherwise you will have to wait to for a table. But this is not a bad thing because they usually have live entertainment and a Bloody Marry that is the best I have ever had. The staff is fun.
If the wife or the shopper in the family is along they will be in their glory. The shopping area is not very far away, walking distance. And in Key West all Roads lead to Duval Street. This is no doubt the longest mile in the world. There is just one fun place after another and it doesn’t make a difference what time of day it is.
Very good restaurant abound in Key West. Even if you go to Sloppy Joe’s and have a sloppy joe and a beer will have a good meal and time. You can also find some very up scale eateries as well.
The entertainment is first class. Your can find most anything you like. From the Hard Rock to the theater it’s all in Key West.
Unless you plan on driving to other keys then a car is not necessary. This last time I rented a bike and had a fantastic time. Remember it’s an island so there are not any large hills to contend with.
If there is one short coming to Truman Annex it is the parking, another reason for a bike. That is bike as in bicycle not motor cycle. There is one parking space per unit and they are for small cars. Like I said you don’t really need a car because you can walk or bike every place you want to go.
You will find Key West one of the best places for a vacation. Don’t be concerned about brining the kids. During the day and early evening every place works hard to be family friendly. It’s true that later in the night the adult party starts but then the kids should be in bed anyways.
So go and enjoy Key West and treat yourself to some very, very nice accommodations and stay at Truman Annex.

Great Location
I have stayed in the Shipyards condos several times before. The location is very convenient and the units come with a dedicated parking space.
The particular unit I stayed in this time was ground floor, which was nice, and beautifully decorated. It was very clean and everything worked, including the high speed internet.
I would definitely stay there again!
