Once again we all really enjoyed staying at Beachnut. This was the first year that it was not under the previous ownership, and although it was very nicely decorated, we misssed the family feel of their pictures and personal touches. However, now the locked closets have been opened up, so there is more room for storage. The addition of a separate bathroom for each upstairs bedroom was also a nice improvement.
The house is in a wonderful location, close to the beach. It is an open layout, with a bright interior, and even with the whole family there, it never feels crowded.
We've made our reservations for next year and the whole family is looking forward to it!!

| The house was nice. However, not being able to check into the house on time due to it not being cleaned on time was aggrvating. please hire enough staff to get all your houses cleaned on time. Thanks Patrick Carney |

Great porch, needs TLC |

We enjoyed the closeness of the house to the beach and its open layout. The screened-in porch was the best feature - large and lots of seating. No view, but very nice.
For the price, however, there are minimal views and many quirks in the house in great need of a handyman. We have stayed in cleaner homes, and housekeeping put some spreads for the beds on the floors of the closets - yuck. The kitchen was OK, except was not well-equipped with utensils. Needs TLC! The A/C does not work in several bedrooms - you were either freezing or roasting.
Most importantly, a full slat is missing in the rear upper deck, and the one next to it is loose. A small child can definitely fall through - huge safety issue.
An odd thing is the bathroom pictured in the ad on the website is different than the one in the house - possibly a remodel?
We would consider the home again only if it received some attention and the price was lower. |
