| We picked Surf Shack because it was dog friendly. I have to say we were not disappointed. The fenced dog area, coming right out of the back door was a really nice perk if you're bringing along your pooch!There also is an enclosed screened porch with rockers and a picnic table. Such a nice area for eating outside and relaxing. The home is actually smaller than what it appears on the website. The kitchen is very small as are the bathrooms. But it was still a beautiful home and we really liked it. The grill was great and in a really great location. The house was closer to the beach than we thought although if you want to actually see the ocean, this one does not have a "crow's nest".If you haven't been to Sunset Beach before do NOT hesitate to book today! The beach is absolutely amazing. Clean, big and beautiful! Nearby Calabash is a little town of treasures! Be sure to eat at The Boundry House!! |

| Our stay at the Surf Shack was wonderful! We really enjoyed the location (how close it was to the beach and the Pier) and we also enjoyed how nice the house was and it being pet friendly. Our two dogs had a great time! We will be back to stay at the Surf shack! |

Had a great time at the beach and the house was only a short walk to a boardwalk. Sunset Properties' free DVD rentals were a great way to end each evening after, of course, ice cream at Julie's! House was in good condition and the dog run made it very easy to walk our small dog. The screened porch under the house was a nice "escape" for the parents while the kids had their own den to relax after a long day at the beach (they loved the sectional sofa as they all had a place to sit!).
The water parks of Myrtle Beach and the new Hard Rock Park were a short thirty minute drive from the house which allowed us to make day trips but return to the great family environment of Sunset Beach! Looking forward to returning next year! |

| We enjoyed this house very much- we had Wifi, and that helped us to stay in touch with work. We were able to bring our dog, which made it nice for her too, and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us... we could have brought maybe another person or two comfortably... Nice short distance to the beach and pier, and cheerful decorating in the house. We would recommend this again for a nice family getaway... |

| Nice and spacious home for being pet friendly. Just a quick walk away from the beach. Entrance does have many stairs but it is the case with all the beach homes - older dogs may have trouble. The layout is great for multi-families as the bedrooms are in the three corners with a central kitchen/dining/living area (i.e., some privacy). House is older and a little worn. The kitchen was not stocked as fully as another rental house we visited on the island. A storm had passed through before our stay and fried several TVs, the router and modem. They came quickly and got a few of the TVs working, but not all, and not the Internet. With few pet friendly beach rentals, Surf Shack is a good choice. |
