This apartment was a great rental and everything I hoped it would be.
Ólafía was friendly and very helpful. She met us right away when we got into Reykjavik and helped us find our way around the area.
This is a great location. Fairly quiet (even on Culture Night!), but still an easy walk to the down-town area. There are a couple of grocery stores a short walk away which is very handy if you are going to be doing some cooking during your stay.
The apartment was actually fairly spacious. It was great to have a living room, and Ólafía even provided a few Dvds, books, and children's toys. The bathroom was also nice and well stocked. Everything was clean and well maintained.
My only small complaint would be that I would have liked a few more kitchen tools (different sized pots and pans), but I was still able too cook several meals there quite easily.
I will absolutely be booking this apartment again if I come back to Reykjavik! -

We loved this apartment. It was clean, provided everything we needed, and was walking distance to downtown Reykjavik as well as walking distance to the BSI bus terminal. Both Olafia and Egill were very nice and accomodating before and during our stay in their apartment. I couldn't speak highly enough for how nice they were.
The apartment is on the second floor of a walkup (no elevator), but otherwise in a very quiet neighborhood. -

Centralapartement is really central in the Heart of Reykjavik. Everything is within easy walking distance.The apartment is well furnished and has everything you need for comfortable stay. Olafia is a very accommodating hostess and gave us very well served. She picked us up at the bus terminal and the first breakfast was also provided. Sympathetically! We love to come back, sooner or later... Txl Olafia!

Lovely apartment, easy walking distance from central Reykavik and bus station. Olafia and her husband were so nice and accommodating -- he picked us up at the bus station at 1am, and gave us a brief tour of downtown. The apartment is nice, clean, roomy for my daughter and me, with an eat-in kitchen. Not huge, but just right, and a terrific location.

Travelers: 2 adults, 2 children under 6. The location of this apartment was perfect. It is walking distance to the center of town all many main attractions. The lady that manages the house met us at the apartment and let us check in as soon as we arrived, about 11am vs. 2pm stated check in time. She had a few snacks waiting for us, bread buns, juice, cheese, etc. Which was great because we were traveling with 2 hungry young children. The apartment had everything we needed and was warm and cozy. It only has 1 bedroom but it never felt cramped.

We recently stayed in central Reykjavik at the end of our Icelandic holiday. We rented this apartment instead of staying in a hotel. It was way better - bigger, more comfortable and better value. The owner and her husband were really helpful too. There were nice touches like free local phone calls, internet and food in the fridge. The place was clean and really central! You can walk everywhere. Parking might be an issue but we found a space - there is no control at this location.

Rented June, 2011 and was entirely satisfied with the apartment. Clean, centrally located, with all amenities including wifi, television, and telephone. Clean kitchen, bathroom, hot water. the owner was helpful and gracious, with a basket of food and drinks on arrival. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

I rented this cozy apartment for a week beginning June 8th, 2011 with my son and daughter. We were kindly picked up from the bus station well after 1am by Olafia's husband, Egill and brought to a very clean and comfortable apartment within easy walking distance to the downtown area and other attractions. The apartment is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Olafia thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with milk, cereal, yogurt, juice, bread, ham and cheese and chocolate which was greatly appreciated since we arrived so late and we were tired and hungry. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Olafia and Egill for making our long awaied trip to your beautiful country so comfortable. I truly felt at home there.

When we arrive, Olafia received us with options for dinner and travel in Reykjavik. The apartment is clean and great to travel in family and the location is excellent, near to the center of the city.
