Grettisborg Apartments are 6 brand new self-catering apartments in the best location possible in Reykjavík. Tucked away in a cosy courtyard next to the main shopping street you have peace and quiet but yet the close proximity of the shops, restaurants and night life.

The fully equipped apartments are suitable for up to 4 single adults / 2 couples and/or couple with up to 4 children. It is also possible to combine two flats for bigger groups.

Apartment 1 is a studio apartment with a separate kitchen. The living/sleeping area has a double bed that can be split into twin beds and a sofa bed, which can be converted into twin beds, a... double bed or 3 shorter children's beds.

Apartments 2,3,4,5 and 6 all have a separate bedroom with a double bed that can be split into 2 twin beds. A comfortable sofa bed in the living room can be made into a double bed or two single beds. The sofa can also be split into 3 children´s beds.

Apartments 5 and 6 are located on the top floor and also have a balcony and a bathtubwith shower.

For larger groups it is possible to combine apartments 5 and 6 to make one big apartment which sleeps up to 8 adults.

A baby cot and chair is available upon request.

Parking in the street, pay and display during office hours.

The hot water in Grettisborg Apartmnets is heated cold water so it does not smell or contain of sulphur.Read more

Additional Location Information

Grettisborg apartments are located in a small mews behind the main shopping street Laugavegur. You enter the courtyard via Grettisgata which runs parallel to the main street. There you can enjoy the quiet residential 101 Reykjavik with gourmet restaurants and the buzzing nightlife just around the corner. The best galleries, museums and theatres are within easy walking distance. Food shops are just around the corner, one open 24/7. Atm within walking distance, 2 min walk.

A swimming pool is a stone throw away as well as famous Hallgrimskirkja Church. Parks and playgrounds are also nearby.

There is a lovely south facing patio area in front of the flats which can be used to enjoy barbecuing and outdoor dining on those sunny days. This is a great way to experience the remarkably quiet residential area right in the heart of the City.

  very friendly and helpful staff, we really enjoyed our stay! the appartment was cosy and new renovated, very stilish and clean. comfortable beds. great location, grocery store and the shopping streat right around the corner down the street. there was a big flat screen, was great to listen to music and watch tv. the kitchen was well equipped. had a wonderful stay.

  We found the apartment very comfortable, in a great location just a couple of streets away from the main shopping area in Reykjavik. The apartments were clean and well equipped and very warm even though we had a lot of snow during our stay.
