Lindarbrekka is a 70m2 apartment, fully equipped which offers you a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The house is more than 100 years old, but fully renovated, in one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Reykjavil.
Only 10 minutes walk to downtown, museums, galleries, restaurants, the main shopping street (Laugavegur) and to a swimming pool with hot tubs and steam baths.

Brighton, UKFamily stay in magical Iceland
Left on 02/27/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We came back from our stay feeling very content. We had a great stay, made all the better by this homely and cozy little apartment and the great owners who are warm, friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable about the city and the local surroundings. In addition you can hire their 4WD at a reasonable price with minimum hassle and you get extra drivers and baby/child seats chucked in for free. They recommended two day excursions, one up North to a partic peninsular - we saw Killer whales, ate rotten shark , watched seals , and drove in spectacular landscapes - a day i will always remember. They also recommended Smokey Valley - a 3 km walk to a place where you can bathe in the stream - 38 degrees. fantastic and again very unforgettable. Whilst In R, you have to swim everyday - visit Pool at aftenes - fantastic facility. There is a local pool to the apartment aswell. Its a fantastic country. The apartment is well equipped - we ate in every day to keep costs down. For Kids, both city and country are fantastic experiences. All kids under 11 are basically free in museums etc. The apartment is simple but tasteful - not over the top, decorated tastefully, good beds, all kitchen equipment you need. 5-10 min walk to centre of town.

AmsterdamNice and comfortable apartment
Left on 10/29/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We (family, two kids aged 7 and 9) stayed one week in October partly for vacation and partly for business for one of us. The owners showed to be very friendly, flexible and helpful.
The location is outside the centre of Reykjavik in a quiet area, but the centre is in walking distance. We used it also to take daytrips by car to some famous sites around the city (Thingvalir, Gaissir, Gullfoss and the Blue Lagoon).
Supermarket and (simple) restaurant are very nearby as well as the local pool for an Icelandic daily swimm.
The apartment itself also had some toys, books and Dvd's for entertainment, dishwasher and washing machine.

Fremont, CaliforniaNice family, good location, and very comfortable apartment
Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in May 2012
The owners live in the house and were very helpful and kind. Helped us figure out where to go and rented us a car so we could tour on our own. I really liked having use of a washer and dryer since we arrived from the France portion of our vacation with a suitcase full of dirty clothes. There was a grocery store nearby and we enjoyed cooking local fish for our dinners. The apartment was very good value. Iceland is expensive but the apartment was not.

Shoemakersville, PennsylvaniaA Great Start To Our Iceland Trip
Left on 08/18/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed for 3 nights in the beginning of august. Easy to find location in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy parking. Convenient to grocery stores, quite a few restaurants and within walking distance to the harbor. Clean cheerful apartment comfortably slept 4, strong wifi connection, well stocked kitchen. Washer and drier were a big help. The owners Dagrun and Pall were very helpful and welcoming with initial e-mail inquires answered in a timely manner. We would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend this location.

Moncton, CanadaWonderful experience

I can't say enough how lucky we have been to stay in this apartment. The place is great, well located, quiet neighborhood. The owners were so welcoming and gave us some excellent trip advices during our stay, and even before getting to Iceland. We arrived very early in the morning (family of 5, 3 preschool kids) and the place was all ready for us. Our daughter was just 5 months old and the owners provided us with a baby crib, a high chair, movies for the kids! Plus, we had the opportunity to rent their car which was very convenient to visit the surroundings of Reykjavik.
We are looking forward to visit Iceland again and this apartment is definitely where we are going to stay! -

SeattleVacation Rental in Reykjavik
Left on 12/14/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We recently stayed for several days at this apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The site location is in a quiet area of town and provided an excellent location for walking to local sites and grocery stores. The apartment was clean and well organized upon arrival, and the kitchen was stocked with helpful amenities, including, cookware, instant coffee, and several other ingredients. The owners provided a map of their favorite restaurant/activity locations which was helpful. They were also helpful with any questions we had about the local area. We recommend going to the local swimming pool/hot tub which was very relaxing on colder days. Overall, the rental apartment met all of our expectations and is perfect place to stay while in Reykjavik.

Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, USAA Great Place to Stay in Reykjavik!
Left on 12/09/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Dagrun and Pall were so welcoming and helpful with information. The house is very cute, the apartment extremely quiet so good for sleeping, and we really liked that it was in a neighborhood away from the busy sections. We were able to park the car close by all of the time we were there, which was great. It was a very short walk to all places we wanted to go in town, and Pall and Dagrun were very kind to let us check in at 9 a.m. when we arrived from the airport so we could sleep. The apartment was very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room and privacy for 4 people. We were especially happy that it had a washer and dryer and a pretty large bathroom. While it is not a fancy apartment, it is very homey and comfortable and had everything we needed --we felt like we were staying with friends. All in all, a super great bargain in Reykjavik and we will definitely stay there again.

Left on 12/08/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed in this apartment for two nights and it was well worth it. It's in a quiet neighbourhood street in a top location. Although it was raining most of the time so we drove everywhere, but the apartment is well within walking distance of the middle of the city, as well as a supermarket. Our hosts were fantastic - really friendly and helpful in suggesting where might be good to go in town, and how to get there. The apartment itself is really well appointed. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, oven, etc. The living room / dining room has enough space to seat everyone. The two bedrooms mean that there's enough space for either two couples or a family with kids. The bathroom is plenty big enough with a full sized bathtub, and the laundry has a washing machine with lots of hanging space to dry. There is parking on the street (but it's a quiet street), and the apartment has its own entrance. Overall, highly recommended for a stay in Reykjavik!
