wisconsinExcellent choice for Reykjavik stay
Left on 08/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family of 5 (children ages 17, 20, 23) stayed in this apartment in July of 2012. We were well pleased with everything about this rental. The owner answered all of my emails promptly with additional suggestions of things to see and do during our stay. The rental was equipped with everything we could possibly need, and included a large library of programs and movies as well as an excellent selection of reading material. We loved the modern kitchen and appliances and especially liked the deep tub and shower, and that oh-so-hot Icelandic hot water from the tap! Located a block off of the main street in Reykjavik, we could easily walk anywhere. Our older children enjoyed the weekend nightlife and felt completely safe returning to the apartment in the wee hours of the morning. Two groceries were within a short walk of the apartment as well as a nice bakery and coffee shop just around the corner. We were able to catch a cab from the hotel located half a block down the street that took us back to the airport for our return flight. We would recommend a stay here without any hesitation.

Washington, District of Columbia, United StatesGreat Location in a wonderful walk-able city"

I stayed in this apt with 4 friends for a week and the places was great. We could walk to main areas downtown and the large public pool (which has a water slide, hot tubs, and 2 50 meter pools for lap swimming - must see). There is plenty of space and Daniel was a great host.

Flint, MISpacious, convenient location.
Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The apartment was very spacious and couldn't have been more conveniently located. A block away from the city bus terminal and a block away from the main shopping street. The city center was a pleasant 15-minute walk. Skip the car rental!
Our host, Daniel, was generous and accommodating. The price was very reasonable as well (especially compared to comparable apartments in town).
The only consideration to be made is that, when not rented, this is an occupied apartment. It is not free of personal items, pictures, etc., as a hotel would be. This was not an issue for us (especially when compared with the value and location), but might be for some people. -

Ithaca, NYVery nice apartment in a good location for sightseeing.
Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in October 2011
We stayed here during our entire one week trip to Reykjavik. The apartment is in a great location for visiting the main shopping district, the coast, and many of the other major destinations in Reykjavik. The city center is a little bit of a hike (about 1 km), but you can walk either via the coast or the main shopping district (Laugavegur), so there is plenty to see and do along the way. The apartment is also only about a 2 minute walk from one of the city's major bus stations (Hlemmur), which can take you virtually anywhere in Reykjavik and many points beyond.
The apartment itself was very clean, modern, and stocked with good coffee. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a grocery store about 2 minutes away. So you can easily cook meals if you choose. The bedrooms are nice and private and there is also a well-endowed book shelf and a giant HD television in case you decide to spend a night in. The owner, Daniel, lives in an apartment two floors above and was very friendly and knowledgeable (but not at all intrusive). He even accompanied us on a hike to the summit of Mt. Esja. For a one week stay this was definitely a great value compared to a hotel or hostel. -

Geneva, SwitzerlandGreat apartment in a quiet area minutes away from downtown
Left on 12/03/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My last stay in that apartment was in July 2011. I really enjoyed the quietness of the area, despite being minutes away from the best bars, restaurants and sights of Reykjavik.
The newly remodeled kitchen is very convenient and you can find a few grocery stores less than 2 minutes away.
If you have a car, ample parking is available close-by. You just need to keep in mind that it's time-limited.
If you prefer the bus, walking to Reykjavik's main bus station takes less than 2 minutes.
I will definitely come back.
