The apartment:
Bright, spacious and modern apartment downtown Reykjavik in a residential street. Two bedrooms with plenty of closet space, one bedroom equipped with a queen size bed and the larger bedroom has a king size bed. The windows have blackout curtains for the beautiful bright Icelandic summer nights. The location:
The perfect location for see attractions. The city center is literally steps away with all it´s restaurants, cafes, nightlife, shopping, library, liquor store, pharmacy, ice-cream stores, playgrounds, parks which are perfect for picnics, swimming pool, ATM and cash machines, tourist information centers, museums, monuments, parliament, and city hall. Only a short walk away is a supermarket and another one 5 minutes away is open 24 hrs and also a bakery 100 meters away. The city harbor is just around the corner with all kinds of small fishing and whale watching boats, offering sightseeing tours on daily basis and whale watching boats. The newest monument of Reykjavik city, Harpa Concert Hall, is right by the harbor and is truly worth visiting both for great concerts offered and also for its outstanding architecture. Make sure you go to the local hotdog stand showing Bill Clinton's photo when he ate there.
There is easy access to all transportation.

We had a wonderful Christmas week in Reykjavik! The apartment was perfect. One block from a very nice bakery, two blocks from the grocery store (Bonus), and three blocks from the best espresso in Reykjavik (C is for Cookie). The main shopping areas are just minutes away and yet the apartment is very quiet. Alla was extremely responsive to emails and very helpful in helping to plan our stay. We highly recommend!

We just spent 10 nights in this fabulous apartment. It looks exactly like it does in the pictures. We loved everything about this apartment. It is very clean, comfortable, spacious and bright, absolutely perfectly located, close to the main streets in Reykjavik and still quiet enough to allow a good night's sleep. It is equipped with everything one needs including wi-fi. There are lots of brochures on what to do/see, street maps etc. It's within walking distance to everything - shops, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants/bars, cafes, bus terminal, rental car companies (that deliver cars to the apartment without additional charge), pools, and the main sights. Alla, the owner, couldn't be more accommodating. She was very helpful with all questions we had and responded to e-mails promptly. Check in and check out was flexible to accommodate our flights. Alla even met us at the main bus terminal and gave us a ride to the apartment when we arrived (although it's only an easy 10 - 15 min walk), which we very much appreciated. There are a number of guesthouses/hotels near the apartment to/from which various bus companies will drop off/pick up for airport transfers or tours. It just couldn't be more conveniently located. The neighborhood is lovely and feels extremely safe any time of the day/night. We've only been home for 4 days and the security deposit has already been returned. Dealing with alla was a pleasure and the apartment was a perfect home to return to after a long day out. Didn't want to leave. Would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this apartment. It was easy to access from the bus terminal. The location is within walking distance of central Reykjavik and close to a grocery store.
The apartment itself had two bedrooms with plenty of storage. A roomy living area with a couch and dining table. Typical kitchen and bathroom. It's located on the third floor with no elevator.
The owner, Alla, was awesome! Great communication, very flexible and obliging. She allowed us to check in early and wait to check out until we were leaving for the airport. There were lots of great brochures and instructions at the apartment. She even thought to have wi-fi and keep a pay-as-you-go cell phone in the apartment for use. Plus, our deposit was back in my account before I returned home! We had a great experience renting this apartment from alla :-). -

Staying at alla's apartment was fantastic! It was easy to get to- great location and very central, we were able to check in early since our flight arrived about 7am, it was kid friendly and clean and overall it was perfect! Alla is a great host and she's very friendly and helpful. We had called her (with the cell phone she provides in the apt) to ask if she had an outlet converter (we forgot ours and wanted to charge our phones). She actually went out and bought one for the apartment and dropped it by 1 hour after we called. We highly recommend her place!

We stayed for four days in the apartment. We were a party of 3 people. The apartment is very nice and has everything that you need. Within 10 minutes you can reach most of downtown Reykjavik. Within five minutes you can shop for grosseries and at a very nice bakery.
We had good communication with alla from pre-booking until we left the apartment. Every question was answered very fast and alla even called us on the last night in the apartment in order to make sure that the stay went in accordance with our planes.
The apartment is very easy to find by foot from the bus terminal.
If we go to Reykjavik again I would book this apartment again.

We booked alla's place and were not disappointed. We slept 3 boys in the 2 bedroom apartment. The couch was really comfortable as were both beds. The apartment was a perfect place, really clean, roomy, and had all the fixings of a great place to hang out. Extremely close to Prikid, Vegamot and other awesome 101 bars.
Alla as a host was the best I've encountered. She was prompt to email back and send us links for things to check out. She's really cool so she knew what was good to check out and was available in town to meet up. She also provided us with a mobile phone to use to contact her while there which was really smart.

It was unexpected how nice and well situated the apartment was. We enjoyed our four days in Reykjavik, and could easily organize our stay thanks to the easy access to the bus central, and the central position of the apartment in general; just a street from the main street and grocery stores. The apartment is spacy, clean, and well equipped, perfect for four people. Alla was very helpful by providing a cell phone and staying available during the stay, if we needed something, and by providing tips before the travel.

We came to Iceland for 4 days and had a wonderful stay. This apartment is within easy walking distance of the most frequently visited sites. Great restaurants and shops are also nearby. The apartment is spacious and very nicely decorated. The rooms are airy and sunny. There is plenty to see in Reykjavik, but it was also just so comfortable to hang out in this place. Alla is a gracious and very accommodating host. We would definitely return.
