Dear Jenny and Kata , Rent in Iceland,
I just returned from 18 wonderful days in Iceland where my husband and I rented an incredible property from Rent In Iceland.
For anyone abroad wanting to rent something for a holiday, getting the right place really depends on getting the right person.
I had several emails and contacts with Jenny about our personal needs and she discerned exactly what would suit us best.
The property Jenny and Kata selected for us was in a rural area with a backdrop of beautiful mountains and grazing ponies surrounding us. The property was on the beginning of the Golden Circle making a perfect spot to take our time to visit sites. We were very close to a market and there was a fantastic fish market in the village. We ate fresh fish almost daily.
The house was a large farmhouse with several large bedrooms. The masterbedroom had a skylight and we were able to lay in bed and watch the Northern Lights ! The kitchen was big as well and had all the amenities necessary to prepare meals.
We had a fireplace and it was stocked with plenty of firewood and the owner showed us where to get more. We had a fire most nites.
The house was nice and warm and cozy with good furniture and beds. We liked being able to look out from many directions within the house to get different views. Being on a top floor, we had a very good perspective.
The landscape, the atmosphere, the quiet, the stars, were amazing and if you like a place where you can really get away yet be close enough to get to the city, this was an ideal place. It only took us about 25 minutes to get into Reykjavik.
We recommend you and this property to all our friends in Scotland. It would be a perfect place for a large family with lots of children as there is a lot of room inside and out.
