The private, exclusive vacation home Schwarzwald ‘Im Birkenweg’ is situated in the Rhine valley between Vogesen and Black Forest. The living room affords views of the Hornisgrinde, which is 15 km away. The most beautiful destinations in the Black Forest can be reached quickly; at the same time, you can enjoy the comfort of bicycling in the flat area. If you are tempted to explore the other side of the Rhine, you can just as quickly get into the wild romantic Vogesen – the Rhine is just 4 km away. Strasbourg with its cathedral and historic old town, culture, shopping opportunities, and Alsatian-French cuisine can be reached in 10 minutes of driving.
Enjoy the proximity of Schwarzwald Ferienhaus to the European city Strasbourg. 10 minutes by car get you there, where you can see the cathedral, one of the most important in Germany and Europe, the remarkable astronomic clock there, or explore the romantic leatherworkers’ quarters of La Petite France. At the same time, a stay in the rural surroundings of Linx ensures relaxing calm in quality furnishings. Great for excursions, whether into the Alsace or the Black Forest.

By car:
From the South:
Leave autobahn A5 at the connection Appenweier. Take B28 towards Strasbourg, until shortly before Kehl. Leave B28 towards the right onto B36 towards Rheinau. After 10 km, you will reach Linx. Take a right onto the second road there, Birkenweg, about 200 m after the village’s entrance.
Coming from the North:
Leave autobahn A5 at the Achern connection. Turn right and continue for about 10 km towards France/Paris. Leave the roundabout at the third exit toward Rheinbischofsheim, onto B36. After about 6 km, you will arrive in Linx. About 200 m before the end of town, take a left onto the Birkenweg.
By train:
Take the train to Offenburg station. From here, depending on your connection, you can go on to either Kork or Kehl. The distance between Kork and Linx is 4 km; there is a taxi stand there. The distance from Kehl to Linx is some 10 km; from there, you can take either a taxi or a bus.
By public transport:
The bus stop “Linx Süd” is only 100 m from the house. You can find the proper connections at the online itinerary information for Baden-Württemberg (enter Linx as station, then choose ‘Linx Süd’) or at www.bahn.de (stop “Linx Süd”).
Pick-Up Service

Offenburg is some 20 km away from Schwarzwald Ferienhaus Privat. Between Renchtal and Kinzigtal valleys, there is an extensive network of trails, for every taste: 42 km Bike Challenge, Mooskopf Tour, Feierabend Tour, 27 km Bike Challenge.
