Additional Location Information

The Red Relaxer is secluded on four acres, surrounded by three creeks. The property is accessible only via a private dead-end road. You won’t see another soul around. If you are looking for solitude, you will definitely find it here.

There are two large decks, one sheltered from the weather, the other open to the sun and stars. We’ve got plenty of comfortable deck chairs for your entire group to settle in. Spend an evening roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, while immersing yourself in nature.

During the cooler months, the pond next to the house fills with water and attracts, birds, ducks, beavers, and other wildlife. Deer often graze in the front yard in early morning. Beaver dens are everywhere along the creek bank. Sitting in a rocking chair on the porch, the only thing you will hear will be the sounds of nature - the gently gurgling creek, the wind in the trees, and the relaxing melody of birdsong.

If you’re in the mood to explore, our private hiking path leads you through the woods and past two creeks, providing an endless source of entertainment for kids and adults alike. Or, for some family fun, the front meadow is a great place to kick a soccer ball or play frisbee.

If you like the outdoors, the Red Relaxer is where you will want to be!

The Red Relaxer is located on a private gravel drive off Lolo Pass Road, near Rhododendron, Oregon, approximately 1 hour from Portland and the Portland Airport, and approximately 14 miles from Government Camp.

Although we do get snowstorms in the winter, the house is generally always reachable by road without the need for a 4x4 vehicle. However, as with all of the Mt. Hood area, tire chains are recommended during winter.

Precise directions to the Red Relaxer are provided after reservations are confirmed. Note: There is no cell phone reception at the Red Relaxer!
