Rejuvenate yourselves in a lovely two-story barn in a lovely six-acre farm/garden, the Garden of Ideas in Ridgefield, Ct, one of the region's most charming towns. Fireplace, full kitchen, queen bed. Wood floors, great light with seasonal on-site farm stand to get fixins for a healthy and delicious meal. Excellent for birdwatchers, gardeners, farmers, artists, writers, bookworms, and outdoor enthusiasts. Only one hour north of NYC.

We were attending a wedding in Bedford NY and after looking at the poor hotel choices we had nearby we were very excited to have found this place. The place is gorgeous, perfect for family and even friends, it is cozy but yet spacious and very well equipped. We attended the wedding and then did not want leave the place. We played board games and even grilled some steak and fresh vegetables that we bought from the local farm. The grilled giant zucchinis were delicious (thanks for the suggestion). And my wife loved the chocolate milk. All these fresh produce and products are available on site 24/7. The owner's hospitality shined, they event went the extra mile to accommodate for our request to have a grill by bringing one from their house, and that says a lot about hospitality. We will definitely stay here again whenever we come visit our Bedford friends.

We rented this place as part of our trek throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York. It was by far the best place I stayed. Totally isolated and rustic and exactly what we needed after a day trip to NYC. I enjoyed the scenic CSa gardens and grounds and loved the barn decor and amenities. So glad I could even compost our table scraps here (just like at home)! Our hosts were friendly and helpful and available for questions about the area. Totally loved it adn highly recommend to anyone looking for an isolated taste of Connecticut.
