Casa Genziana D is a cozy and welcoming one-story apartment that is part of a villa on a luscious property dappled with potted flowers. It sleeps four people. From Casa Genziana D you will enjoy an unobstructed view of the garden and of the surrounding countryside. Casa Genziana D is 65 square meters (700 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool and a shared jacuzzi pool, a shared garden, a reserved outdoor area, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.

You will be roughly 5 km (3.1 miles) from the medieval hamlet of Rigomagno .

Casa Genziana D is located on the first floor of an old farmhouse, a testimony to the traditio...nal way of life in seventeenth-century Tuscany . You will reach it from the garden going up an external stairway which consists of approximately 16 steps.

To stay at Casa Genziana D you will need a car. You will be able to park it on the premises, in a reserved parking space.

The apartments Casa Genziana A, B, C, D ed E are part of an ancient Tuscan farmhouse, built in the seventeenth century with thick stone walls. The farmhouse has been tastefully restored with love, keeping the original architecture intact.

You will reach the villa along a driveway that unwinds in the vegetation of the hillside. You will be welcomed by a large wrought iron gate, and you will be able to park your car inside. The first thing you will notice, at a level above the parking area, is the large stone building, framed by the green of the trees. Climbing a stone stairway of approximately ten steps you will find yourself in a large flat area, in the middle of which there is the villa, surrounded by a large lawn. Among the grass, here and there, you will see large terracotta jars filled with flowers.

Everything is beautiful, well-kept and well ordered: you will fall in love with this place at first glance and will be happy you chose it for your vacation.

Beyond the lawn there is the side of the hill, along which you will find marked trails that invite you to stroll in the woods.

The air is clear and bright, perfumed by the smell of the wood. Your eyes will rest on an uninterrupted horizon of the Tuscan countryside.

From every point of the premises you will only see the blue of the sky and the green of the surrounding hills, and no other building.

For each guest a swimming pool towel is provided, along with bed linens and towels. Every day a gardener is on the premises to look after the garden, and it is possible to request maid services. Breakfast in the garden is available upon request.

Small-sized pets are welcome.

Mountain bikes are available at the villa for you to rent, and a horse center is nearby.

The swimming pool is 8 meters (26 feet) large by 15 meters (50 feet) long, from 1.50 meter (5 feet) to 2.50 meters (8 feet) deep. The swimming pool area is equipped with a sun umbrella and sun loungers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a pleasant view of the garden and of the surrounding countryside. You will share the pool with the other guests staying at the complex.

The garden features an above-ground Jacuzzi pool with six seats. The garden is partly shaded by a large gazebo. The garden is equipped with benches, as well as with tables and chairs. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven. From the garden you will enjoy a broad view of the 7 hectares (17 acres) of protected natural park in which the villa resides. You will share the garden with the other guests staying at the complex, and there will be an area reserved for your exclusive use.

In the laundry room you will find a washing machine, a clothes dryer, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal (please note that use of the laundry facilities is not included in the rental fee and must be paid locally). You will share the laundry room with the other guests staying at the complex.

The terrace is 5 square meters (53 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a pergola. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a pleasant view of the swimming pool and of the greenery.

The living room is paved with Tuscan terracotta tiles. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams and terraccotta tiles. The furnishings are in the traditional style of the Tuscan countryside. The furnishings include two single divan beds. There is a big fireplace made of bricks. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a small refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!), a toaster and a kettle. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. The room has a window with a view of the countryside.

You will be able to enter the bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has two windows.

The bathroom is spacious, well decorated and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a bathtub with shower wand.

  We stayed at this property the second week of our month long vacation in Italy. After the bustle of Rome it was a welcome respite to recharge our batteries.
  
  Pluses:
  
  The property is beautiful, nestled amongst the trees in a quiet valley at the base of the hill that the town of Rigomagno sits. If you want some tranquility and an away from it all base for your Tuscan stay then this property is fabulous. Michela is a gem and checked us in and gave us a full tour. Her mother, Maria Pia was our hero when we locked ourselves out of the apartment the first day (don't laugh, it's extrmely easy to do). Frequent guests, Ray and Sylvia were a pleasure to discuss plans with. From here we were able to easily drive to and visit Sienna, Montepulciano and Cortona. If you love wine, Montepulciano is a must see.
  
  The nearby town of Sinalunga is convenient for groceries, ATM access etc.
  
  Negatives:
  
  Not much. A car is a necessity as there is nothing within walking distance. We cooked half our meals in the apartment but if you want to go out the nearest restaurant are in Sinalunga (not particilarly picturesque) or Lucignano (beautiful small Tuscan hill town). The weather in September was unsettled and the shaded valley stayed cool (and frequently wet), so we didn't get to try the pool.
  
  Overall, this is a solid property and we would not hesitate to stay here on our next visit to Tuscany.

  Quiet country side living

  This is a quality apartment with all one needs for a stay. It is new and clean. Being in the country side it is perfect for nature lovers. It is close to Sinalunga where you can buy great food and wines at the Supermarket. It is also close to many tourist attractions.
