Come and enjoy your vacation in this 2,000+ square-foot, beautifully furnished, third floor walk-up, two-story villa -- located on the most beautiful beach in Rincon- Corcega. This is a great swimming beach, but only about a 10 minute drive from the surfing beaches on the north side of town. Rincon is on the very west coast of Puerto Rico. We are a 2.5 hour drive from San Juan (SJU- all airlines), only about 30-40 minutes south of Aguadilla (BQN Continental, JetBlue, and Spirit), 15 minutes north of Mayaguez (MAZ- puddle jumpers from San Juan on Cape Air), and about 1.5 hours from Ponce (PSE- Spirit and JetBlue).

My family of four and my friend and her two teens all stayed at Mari Carmen's for a week. The condo is very nice with all the amenities for cooking, relaxing, chairs for the beach, boogie boards for the kids and plenty of room for us to spread out. We especially enjoyed the terrace balcony with grill for cooking out on and relaxing in the evenings after returning from a day of surfing or cave exploring. Mari Carmen is especially helpful and loves to offer tips and information on things to do and places to see, which we appreciated so much. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. I've even already informed her we'd like to return to cover the east coast and hoped she would help me with our planning, to which she replied she'd be happy to do!

We had a great time at Sol Y Playa. We had everything we needed there and Mari Carmen was super responsive. Our daughter (3 1/2 yr) got a very high fever on our second night and Mari Carmen was so nice to give a friend's contact information that was a physician. She was very helpful anytime we called. The condo has lots of beach toys, umbrellas, chairs...pretty much anything you could ever need at the pool or beach. The washer and dryer were nice to have too, especially with kids. I would totally recommend this place to stay to anyone going to Rincon.

The family and I had a great time staying at this unit. Yes, it is a 3 story walk up unit but once inside there was plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was complete with pretty much whatever you needed. Towels and beach gear were available in the unit which was nice. We were told that the 3rd bedroom would have the twin beds set up as a king but was not the case once we got there. Not a big deal, we pushed them together. Stereo was available and easy to use with an Iphone. There was some confusion with how to pick up our keys but was handled beautifully by the owner, Mari Carmen. She is a great person to deal with. Seemed as though we were the first guest of the season and there were a few shelving items that didn't quite get mounted on the wall, not a problem, we just moved them to the side. One item that I was somewhat disappointed with this unit was that we were told that there was a water view from the 3 balconies. It is true that yes, you can see the water but only if you lean over the edge of the balcony. The water is not directly in front of the unit, you have a treed view. Looking at a map of the location the unit is on the side that goes back to the road. All in all a good time but it was a little uncomfortable since I had promised everyone it was an ocean view unit.

I am so sorry on the twin beds not being put together and the shelves not mounted, but as I spoke to the lady she said it was never going to happen again. She is usually very diligent and I have never had a problem with her, also all the shelves are mounted now for my tranquility. It was a very rare misunderstanding with them. Their cleaning is outstanding. I really hope that DOES not happen again.
I am very sorry also about the view, but that is why I put it has ocean view not oceanfront unit. The villa is very nice and quiet because is on the side of the building and not in front of the pool or the beach.
I am very happy that you had a great time despite all this. I truly try to make my guests feel at home and I am not used to things like this happen. Actually it is my first time. All of my guest love it and email me of the great time they had there. Actually I have a lot of return guests, and I hope you can be one of them if you plan to visit Rincón in the future. For now, have a great Christmas season! -

I stayed over the Labor Weekend at Mari Carmen's and it was an unforgettable experience. The apartment is spacious and clean. It invites to enjoy it in many ways. If you want to either prepare your own meal in the well equipped kitchen or have a BBQ at the top terrace with a star seeing experience or hang out in the many places Rincon offers to eat, you'll have fun for sure anyway. The complex is really nice, the pool is very well taken care of and clean. But the best is the beach! It is awesome and the sunsets are simply beautiful! It is great for a group of friends,the family or a romantic getaway as well. The apartment offers all the facilities you need, even Wifi ! Certainly Mari Camen's is a must come back!

Just returned from a week stay at Maricarmen's condo. I can't write enough positive comments about the place. There was so much room inside. Everything was perfectly clean and really nicely furnished. Just a few short steps to an amazing beach and pool. We brought our baby and Maricarmen had a play yard, beach toys and a high chair waiting for us. Rincon has beautiful beaches, no crowds. The pace is much slower than San Juan..a great vacation spot!!! We all really enjoyed the trip and the condo very much.

We stayed at MariCarmen's Beach Escape the last week of March 2012 and couldn't have asked for more. The accomodations are spacious and clean. The grounds are secure and you have 2 parking spaces, 2 pools (adult and kiddie) and a playground. The beach is beautiful and you have showers by the gates to clean up prior to retreating at the end of your day. 2 balconies and a patio are also yours to use with a grill and patio furniture if you don't want to use on a rainy day to sit and read and listen to the waves crash on the beach.

Everything was beautiful. Clean and very comfy. The beach is the best in the area. We took a walk both ways on the beach and this condo was the best looking and well taken care of, very nice pool and landscape. The beach is nice and sandy, walk right into ocean without worrying about rocks and such. MariCarmen was very helpful in giving ideas as to where to eat and what to do in Rincon. Already planning when to return. Sunsets are beautiful. As far as the villa, everything was well stocked and supplied as far as towels and kitchen supplies.

Great place to bring a group of friends. Its got confy acomodations and a great tranquil beach to start your day. If youre looking to surf, great spots are just minutes away. Another highlight is the pool area, great place to unwind and watch the magnificent sunset. Btw its also a great family place if you havent noticed, pool, great beaches and beautifull sunsets ... What more could you ask for?
