Our property has an outdoor pool and patio area with personal private bar, dinning and lounge chairs, double charcoal BBQ, free laundry facilities, off-street parking, back up water and electric generator, surfboard storage areas and an outdoor shower.

Away from the night life noise but close to everything. Walking distance to (Just half mile) Sandy Beach, Pools Beach, Antonios Beach.You can walk to different bars and restaurants. We recommend you rent a car to visit different places but if you decide not to you can still walk to lots of places. Also we are within minutes in car to Domes Beach, Lighthouse, Downtown. Rincon is small so everything is close! Facilities have parking.
We are located half hour from Aguadilla BQN Airport and 2.5 hours from San Juan Airport.

We were looking for a nice, reasonable place, near the beach and Vista del Mar exceeded expectations. This was like home away from home. Clean and an excellent place to relax, have fun and kickback. The pool table, and domino tables gave us added fun options on things to do. I highly recommend and personally plan to return. Loved it.

We met Elier on a moment's notice and he showed us the unit and adjacent pool and common areas. It's next to his family's home. It was very clean, new, and impressive. We actually found other arrangements, but Elier went out of his way to communicate with us and help us find a good fit for our needs and budget since he controls several properties.

My wife and I just returned from an 8 day stay with Elier. We stayed in the Terrace apartment, which I would absolutely recommend. We had originally booked one of the other apartments, but upon seeing the views from the terrace, we requested to move, and Elier (and his daughter Jennifer) was gracious enough to let us move.
A few bullets on the Terrace: although it's a murphy bed, my wife and I found it to be very comfortable - no bars in your back, or anything even close to that. Thus, don't let the bed dissuade you. If you're looking for a full kitchen, you may want to think twice about this apartment, as there is basically a coffee maker, a microwave, and a mini fridge, with some very basic plates/utensils. However, my wife and I went in thinking we'd want a full kitchen, and barely used it. Secondly, there is a full kitchen in the pool area - full stove, oven, fridge/freezer, etc. It's a bit inconvenient, but given the views of the Terrace, was well worth it to us. We found it perfect for what we were looking for.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay - the place was clean, a very short drive to the local hot spots, and very affordable.
I'd highly recommend dealing with Elier, and Vista del Mar will always hold a fond place in our hearts. Can't wait until the next visit!Response from Elier Lopez - 05/17/2013

My stay at Vista Del Mar apts was impeccable!! Elier was extremely considerate , helpful, and prompt! I looked at several places on airbnb and this particular place caught my eye because of the terrace!It was so spacious and with a excellent view. Great for sunbathing or looking at the incredible starlight sky! I do plan on returning and will stay in same place. Thank you Elier!

After looking at several places on line we chose Vista del Mar and am so very glad we did. The place far exceeded our expectations and Elier is the best, always helpful with anything you need and an all around genuine guy. We stayed in apt a which was spacious for 2 people with everything you need and more and very clean. They provided more than any place we've ever stayed a, the kitchen was equipped with all the comforts of home so you don't have to go out to eat every meal. The pool area was fantastic with barbeques, hammocks, frig, stove and wonderfully painted decor, as is the apt. They also have a laundry facility onsite for use, a big plus. The location is close to everything making it easy to walk most places(5 min to beach) and easy to get to town for anything. The area has many local places to eat with a variety to choose from (three house down the hill is great Thai food). We had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to going back and would not consider staying anywhere else. Thank you Elier.

I've been coming to Rincon for the past 8 years and I've always rented from Elier Lopez. I had a great experience renting from him the first time so whenever I come to Rincon, he is the only one I call. He is not only helpful and accommodating but also very cool, friendly and super easy to deal with. This place is located a one minute car drive or 5 minute walk from the beach. It has a superb pool with lounge chairs, laundry room, your own parking spot, and a full kitchen. It's perfection! And if you need another kind of place, I would still recommend to deal with him as he manages more than 60 properties in Rincon.

The Vista del Mar apartments are impeccably clean, and equipped with everything we needed to cook during our vacation. We spent a whole week here, and were able to do one major shopping on the first day and cook for ourselves for the rest of the week. Our host, Elier, is incredibly gracious, and offers a transport service to and from different parts of Rincon at a minimal fee. We didn't rent a car because we only needed to go to the grocery store once. There are several bakeries and excellent restaurants that are in walking distance of the apartment, and the beach is only about a 7-minute walk away.
What I loved most about these apartments is that they are located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, and the nearby beach is mostly frequented by surfers.
The beach was mostly empty every time we went, which was wonderful.
If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing beach vacation, this is it!

For the last 5 years, I have traveled to Puerto Rico during the month of February. I have rented from Elier every time and he is the only person I would choose to rent from when I go to Rincon! Vista del Mar has been a great place to stay and every trip has been enjoyable. Vista del Mar has everything you need and is always very clean upon arrival. My family always recommends Elier's rentals to others interested in visiting Rincon.

This was my husband and my first time vacationing in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, our morning flight from BTV was cancelled due to inclement weather and we ended up leaving on a later flight, staying overnight in Newark and then heading to San Juan the next morning. I had emailed Elier and said we would not make the first night. We were not charged, which is very different from other places! After spending one night in this clean, spacious and comfortable apartment, we had to ask if we could spend an extra night instead of heading to San Juan for 2 nights! The El Junque rainforest will have to wait for another time. Elier and his daughter, Jennifer, took very good care of us! After staying here four nights, we knew we had to come back! Although, flying into nearby aguadilla instead of San Juan was great advice from Elier! Besides great advice, we were treated like family. Who would bring plates of delicious food for someone who was renting from you? Elier did! There was a birthday party in the pool area with lots of kids having fun and we got to eat what the family was eating. It wasn't just us, our next door neighbors were treated also! So, it isn't just the wonderful apartment with the tropical theme that is a short drive to beaches, shops and restaurants, etc... but the way we were treated, like family! My husband and I hope the Lopez's will take up our offer to stay with us in Stowe, Vermont whenever they would like to! We came back home to snow flurries... already miss our place at the Vista Del Mar in Rincon! P.S. I have already shared our experience with friends, family and a couple on the beach while chatting!

As regular travelers to Puerto Rico for the past 20 years, and Rincon for the last 10 and have yet to find a value that tops Vista Del Mar. The great price enables us to lengthen stay,and the new pool enhances what was a great deal to begin with. The apartments are clean and colorful and with the free,shared washer and dryer we don't have to waste a half day of vacation in town doing laundry . The Lopez family lives on site and truly care about their guests. Yeah, I think I might come back here again!

I cannot stress enough how pleased I was with Vista del Mar apartments! My best friend and I stayed in apartment B for a week in January 2013. The accommodations were far beyond what I was expecting for the price. The whole apartment was delightful. The kitchen was well stocked, only a few items seemed to be missing, but nothing we couldn't do without. We couldn't get the oven to work, but the stovetop sufficed for our cooking needs! The provided beach supplies (beach towels, cooler, chairs, paddle ball set) were great for our excursions. The free laundry facilities were well appreciated! You can pack a small suitcase even for long trips thanks to that.
I loved the pool area! The hammocks were a wonderful place to read and take in the scenery. The back patio gets plenty of sun. There were many times I chose to stay by the pool rather than head to the beach!
The location was great. A quick drive to everything you need. I would recommend eating at the Rum Shack. Delicious food and great prices only a walk away.
Overall, this was a perfect place to stay. The affordability was wonderful and if you like the beach, this can't be beat! I will be booking a Vista del Mar apartment for all my future Rincón trips!Response from Elier Lopez - 01/30/2013

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the apartments and had a wonderful time! The view was breathtaking, the location was perfect (walking distance to different beaches, restaurants and bars, and only short driving distance from "downtown" Rincon, supermarket, etc.). The apartment was well-equipped and had everything we needed for cooking meals; there were plenty of towels and even chairs and a cooler for spending the day at the beach. The apartment facilities (pool, balcony) were perfect for relaxing and we enjoyed reading in the hammocks by the pool every day. Elier was very responsive from the beginning, and was very friendly and helpful! We would absolutely recommend Vista del Mar apartments to anyone traveling to the Rincon area and we ourselves hope to return sometime in the future! It was the perfect place to stay for both exploring the nearby beaches or just relaxing at the pool. Our only regret was that we did not stay longer! Thank you, Elier!

We just got back from Rincon, PR and stayed at the Vista Del Mar apartments, run by Elier Lopez and his family. Where to begin? What an incredible place to stay! My girlfriend and I rented the place 6 nights via interenet, and really did not know what to expect. Elier was very prompt with his communications and setting the logistics up for our trip. When we arrived, I couldn't have been more happy with the arrangements: a beautiful condo with full kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom with two Queen sized beds. We were able to cook a lot of meals and save money with the full kitchen accomodations. The place was very clean and the Elier was willing to help us with anything. He was a great source of information for local restaraunts and activities. While we were there, he had just put the finishing touches on the pool behind and below our unit. A very great place to relax after coming back from a surf. The location is great! Close enough to pools and sandy beach for latenight fun, but far enough away to get away from it all and get a good nights rest. If you are a surfer, beachgoer, or just looking for relaxation, this is a great place to be.

I just finished a short stay at the Vista del Mar apartments and wanted to put everything down while it was fresh in my mind. I am going to include a lot of details because I find that the information may be helpful to others trying to make a decision.
I found the Vista del Mar apartments online and checked the availability calendar and decided to book. The booking process was very straightforward. The owner, Elier, emailed me shortly after he received my inquiry. I filled out a reservation form and sent it to him. Elier accepts credit cards. He charged me for half upfront and the other half a month before I arrived. He sent me detailed directions. You need to keep these directions with you. They are very specific. I had no problems finding the apartments with the directions but I would have had a hard time without them. When I arrived in Rincon, I called Elier's cell phone. He said the apartment was open and that he would meet me within 20 minutes.
I got to the apartment and, sure enough, the unit was open and ready. I dropped my bags off an waited for Elier. First, a comment about the parking. The apartments are set back from the street to make room for the parking spaces. There are four parking spaces. These are definitely large enough for most compact cars and perhaps a minivan but if you were to rent something larger I would check with Elier beforehand to make sure it would fit. Rincon has some very narrow streets and Vista del Mar is one of them!
Now for the unit. I stayed in Unit a which is on the left half of the top floor. There is one other unit on that same level. There is a screen door on the front which helps if you'd like to get a little breeze during the day. There was a rectangular dining room with four chairs. The kitchen had a six burner gas/propane range. There was a refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker, and a toaster as well. The kitchen had utensils, pots and pans, and other items. A roll of paper towels was provided as well as a mop and bucket. These items would certainly be useful for longer stays.
The living room area had two sofas, a large screen (32" maybe) flat panel TV which had cable. I did not try the cable but Elier said it had about 140 channels. There was also wireless internet free of charge. The internet was generally very fast.
The bathroom contained a shower, but no tub. I was impressed with the supplies that were provided. In particular, Elier provided a safety razor, a small packet of shaving cream, as well as soap and shampoo. These would be standard in a hotel, but I was pleased to find them in an apartment. There was also a good supply of bath towels and wash cloths. There is one negative with the bathroom, but I'll mention that later.
The bedroom had two large beds (I believe they were queen sized). Each had a lightweight comforter and a padded mattress. The mattress was firm, but not rigid. I felt the mattress was very comfortable. The closet in the bedroom was huge. Inside the closet was a suitcase stand, two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler. Beach towels were provided as well. There was also a small ironing board and iron. Off the back of the bedroom was a small balcony with an incredible view of the ocean.
Outside and down the stairs was a brand new pool area with lounge chairs and an outside shower for rinsing off. Next to the pool was a bar area with a stereo system, two hammocks, and two barbeque grills. This area was beautiful. Just off the pool was a laundry area that was available to all guests - a great feature for a longer stay.
I only found there to be one negative, that's the matter of hot water in the bathroom. The shower is heated with an electric unit that sits between the water supply and the shower head. It just doesn't heat the water that well. I also didn't have hot water from the sink. To be fair, I didn't mention this to Elier so I don't know if he could have perhaps fixed it. I was only there for three days so I didn't mind it that much. If hot water is truly important to you, you might want to ask about it. Also, Elier lives next door so if anything comes up that is truly urgent, just call him or stop by.
I have a few closing words about the location. The location is fantastic! The apartments are in the Puntas region of Rincon which is a big surf spot. So, you'll see some surfers out on the beaches in the area. I also saw a guy kiteboarding. That looked fun! The units are half way up the hill from the coastal road. I saw surfers walking up and down the hill each day with their boards. I like walking and was able to walk to a few nearby restaurants in the neighborhood. If you walk up the hill and then continue up the road to Route 413, Banana Dang is only few hundred feet away. I walked there in about 15-20 minutes. You can also walk a little further in the other direction and come to a convenience store (there are actually a lot of them in the area). The central plaza for Rincon is about a 10-15 minute drive.
Also, a few notes on restaurants and other places:
Banana Dang - This is really close (on Route 413) and has great breakfasts.
Ode to the Elephants - A great Thai place on the next street over (down one hill and up the next)
The Pool Bar - A great sushi place down the main coastal road
Econo - A mid-size grocery store just past the central plaza on Route 115
The Union Barber Shop - A few blocks past the main plaza just off of Route 115.

We stayed in the Terrace, which is a VW inspired/surfer's get away. Perfect for two people that are ok with sharing a bed. The partially covered rooftop includes a pool tabor, hammocks, a grill, and plenty of space to enjoy the view an breezes. Clean and comfy, I wish we could have stayed longer. Elier was very helpful to make suggestions of places to visit around town. Tandoo is a fantastic place to watch surfers and have some refreshments. Banana Dang is a fun little coffee shop/breakfast spot. Rincon is such a fun and beautiful little surf town, Elier's property was a perfect home base during our stay.
