      Location, location, Beachfront with diving

Left on 04/15/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Right on the beach is a luxury I had never had before and will never do without again. We traveled with another family and rented the whole house for Christmas 2012. We've stayed in Rincon before and we adore it but this house made the vacation so much more spectacular. It was 5 adults and 4 kids and the house was plenty big, could have fit a few more. The house is very comfortable, the beds are good and the furniture is fine but we spend very little time indoors. The great thing was not having to pack up and go to the beach every day. The kids (ages 4-12) could get going at their own pace because we were never hurrying to get everything ready to go to the beach. We did still visit Steps several times to snorkel and play in the tidal pools but we spent a lot of time boogie boarding right in front of the house, we had a couple fo big days per usual in December and many calm days. Another well-kept secret: there is terrific diving right off shore from the house. Gear up and kick out 15 minutes, drop down to the wall and enjoy a great dive. We did it twice and can’t wait to dive it several more times because we just booked for Christmas 2013. The house is not luxury (it’s well appointed) and it’s not perfect but it is an amazing experience. My only wish: a quieter air conditioner in the upper unit master. By the way, all of the other reviews are right, Alex is a big part of the experience and he is great at making sure your experience is amazing.

      Perfect family tropical vacation

Left on 02/19/2013 for a stay in February 2013

Three porches from which we watched amazing sunsets. This home was modern, slept 11 comfortably, and gave us room to spread out and do our own things. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at arenas y Mar. The local cuisine was phenomenal, and the residents of Rincon were friendly and helpful. Alex was great to work with, and helped before, during and after our vacation with questions and requests. We love the west coast of Puerto Rico, and especially loved the swimming at what felt like our own private beach in front of our house. Thank you, Alex!

Arenas y Mar was such an amazing place to stay. We had gorgeous sunset views from our balcony every night while hanging in the hammocks on the porch. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool/deck. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in Puerto Rico!!

      Amazing!!!

This property could not be more perfect. Its not too big, not too small, located right on the beach..the sound of waves breaking on the shore will put you to sleep every night. Roof top deck for sunbathing and watching the stars if you don't wanna get sandy, hammocks for relaxing and a view that is definitely postcard worthy. Alex was incredibly helpful and attentive to all our needs, it was the perfect vacation!

If you want to see what local Rincon is like this the place to stay.Take a walk down the beach to some of the local bars and restaurants. You are no more than 10 minutes from some of the local hot spots like the Calypso, Tamboo and others.15 minutes to sams or Kmart in mayaguez. The house is a lot of fun for a large groups. The roof top pool is small but its a great place to hang out.The house is a little older but its well kept. If you have any problems you can always get hold of alex.I have brought a lot of friends here from Texas and they all come back. The people in this area are very friendly and we have never had any problems. There is a washer and dryer so you can pack light wash some of your things while you are there. There is also a grill so if you dont feel like going out to eat you can pick up some fresh fish and have a great cook out.I have stayed at this place for the last 3 years and its always fun.

      Fantastic Beach living and views!

Left on 11/28/2012 for a stay in October 2012

My wife and another couple had the pleasure of staying at arenas y Mar in early October and had a fantastic stay. We were on the upper level and had beautiful views of the sea and sunsets. The house was well furnished, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was open and had nice appliances and we were able to cook several meals conveniently during our stay. My wife and friend really enjoyed the roof top dipping pool as a great alternative to the beach when they didn't want to deal with the sand and salt water. Alex and Holly were amazing hosts and gave us great recommendations about local sites and restaurants and were always accessible for any inquiries we had. I was looking to surf during my stay and alex gave me some great input on local spots for various skill levels. I would highly recommend arenas y Mar to anyone looking to visit Rincon.

We had 10 of us, we rented the whole house, it was perfect for us, the water was right there, no real beach right in front but you can always sun bathe by the pool. The place was clean, everything was in good working order. Its a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a great view. We are planning another trip in Feburary, we will stay here again.

Thank you for your review. We are very happy you all had a good time and enjoyed your stay at The Arenas Y Mar Beach House. Your right about the beach, Tropical Storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy definitely took a toll on the beach this past hurricane season. Once we start to see more of the winter time swells however the beach should slowly come back. We hope to see you again in Febuary. Don't forget about your 10% discount you will receive for writing us a review!. (not valid during holidays)

The house was pretty much as described. We were a group of 10. Kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of towels. Everything was working properly except the sink that had a small leak (nothing major). Pool was smaller than expected but the view made up for it. Would stay again.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at Arenas Y Mar Beach House. Sorry about the small leak in the sink, we imediately got it fixed and we appreciate you letting us know. Yes the pool is definietely not a pool you will be swimming laps in, it is only 5000 gallons, however it is definitely very refreshing and is nice to relax in while watching the sunset and having a few drinks. We hope you get the opportunity to stay with us again soon and don't forget you will receive a 10% discount next time for leaving us a review. The offer is not valid durning holidays.
