This recently refurbished and renovated apartment is in a great Ipanema location only steps to the beach.
Situated on the corner with Praca General Osorio where the new metro has recently been built, you are in the heart of Ipanema. There are many restaurants that surround this square, as well as a 24 hour market across the street, and an outdoor market that takes place 3 times per week. If I were in the market for an apartment to own in Rio, this might be it. It's close to the beach (2 blocks), around the corner from Feira Hippie (a weekly Sunday crafts market), across the street from one of Rios' best supermarkets (Zona Sul), near the subway, w/i walking distance of arpoador and Copacabana & convenient to all that Ipanema has to offer (including restos, bars, shopping & services). As a rental, it is ideal: it's sparsely (so it has an airy, uncluttered but comfortable feel) & tastefully furnished (someone has a good eye for mid-century modern furniture), has lots of light & has a great room layout that allows for privacy when it's needed. Finally, it has all the amenities that will make you forget about ever staying in a hotel again. The management firm's representative meets you at the apartment for check-in; there is round-the-clock security in the form of a doorman; there are two en suite bathrooms; there's a combo washer-dryer in the kitchen (best to hang your things to dry otherwise you'll wait forever for the dryer to do its thing); there's a wonderful botequim (bar), literally, downstairs, where the clientele are mostly locals having a "bater papo" (catching up on conversation).
The only negative for us was that after the first day it was really hard to engage the staff that manages this property. When the coffee maker didn't work after the first day, it was a comedy of errors trying to get them to replace it. As a team, they are friendly & charming, but at the end of the day they are pretty disorganized. Oftentimes the left hand doesn't know anything about what the right hand is doing. They also didn't respond to repeated requests to fix a toilet that was running water incessantly & a broken shower handle. And, they are terribly at answering their email: expect a long wait for them to respond to your inquiry about whether this apartment is available. Otherwise, all in all, a terrific experience. -

Our experience with Rio Exclusive has been superb. We don't have a single complaint!!
Right from check in to check out, the entire team was incredibly helpful.
Everyone was friendly and willing to assist with any kind of help we required.
The apartment turned out to be better in reality than what it looked like online, which is rare!!
I can confidently say that any future trips to Rio de Janeiro will be done through Rio Exclusive.

Very comfortable and modern furniture..the decoration was lovely.. We all felt like it was our home while staying there..it couldnt have been better..I stayed with two friends and we had a great time in the apartment.. We had a private chef arranged by Rio Exclusive who made as an amazing and delicious dinner.. The apartment is very spacy and bright which was very important for us...this trip will remain unforgetable for all of us...thank you so much for everything...I do hope we will be able to come back again some day!!
