  We booked this apartment via airbnb. Our host Diogo was super responsive, efficient and very kind. Upon arrival, we found a nicely filled fridge with the essentials that one would need for the first day's stay - bread, milk, cold cut, cheese, beer, Coke etc.
  
  The apartment, which is recently renovated, has two bedrooms, which are sufficiently spacious, and the beds comfortable - pillows a bit firm for our taste, and we would have preferred extra sheets, but everything was nice and clean.
  
  The location is excellent - close to the Lagoa, and the restaurant quarter of Lagoa/Jardim Botanico. A supermarket is right opposite the apartment building. For people who are very noise sensitive, the traffic from the av Jardim Botanico may be a bit disturbing. The living room boasts a terrific view on Cristo Redentor, which can be really stunning when the weather is clear and in the evening, the Cristo Redentor is lit.
  
  The apartment building has a playground downstairs, which our daughter used frequently.
  
  The apartment is well equipped, and we did not use some of the amenities of the apartment, like the washing machine. For those addict to TV and movies, Diogo leaves a great movie collection that one can use during the stay. The internet works perfectly.
  
  Overall, our trip was very enjoyable, and we are grateful to Diogo for his hospitality.
