Itasca, IllinoisSerenity and beauty in the mountains of Rio Rico
Left on 03/24/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I must admit that I briefly considered not writing a review in the hopes of keeping this idyllic little gem a secret. Do you know how sometimes things look so wonderful in pictures and then when you see them in person you are disappointed? Well, that was certainly not the case in this instance. As beautiful as the pictures were, they did not do this hacienda and casita justice. Pictures cannot possibly capture the peacefulness and beauty of this home. Nestled up in the mountains of Rio Rico, the view from this charming casita is positively stunning. As if that wasn't enough, Kent and Nancy Driesbock are accommodating and delightful hosts who also happen to be amazing chefs. They were so gracious and friendly, we felt as if we were family, rather than paying guests. So, if you ever find yourself in Rio Rico or the charming town of Tubac, you absolutely must stay with Kent and Nancy.

Victoria, BCA great place to stay
Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We enjoyed a great week at the Hacienda Rincon de la Loma. The whole place is gorgeous and the casita everthing we could have asked for. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and happy hours with our hosts, along with a special gourmet dinner one night. Highlights of our week also included a visit to Tubac, golf at Kino Springs and Rio Rico Country Club, a hike with Nancy, sitting out around the pool enjoying the views and especially our evening around the firepit. It felt like spending time with old friends.

The Driesbock home is beautifully restored and filled with color and art. The guest house (the casita) very comfortable with all the amenities. And as an added bonus the view over the surrounding landscape is really spectacular.

Nancy and Kent were born to be the most caring, warm, hospitable, kind, thoughtful, helpful, and generous hosts ever! They are also very accomplished in the kitchen and garden, as well as in scuba diving! And their conversation is interesting, entertaining, knowledgable, humorous, and fun.
La Casita B&B; at Hacienda Rincon de la Loma has its own history, is comfortably and tastefully decorated with authenticity in mind. And everything is spotlessly clean, from the well stocked kitchen and bathroom, to the tiled floor and window blinds, to the luxurious bed linens.
The adjacent pool area is as exquisite as the Hacienda and the views are stunning, especially at sunset. Come sit on the elegant chaise and sip on a chilled Margarita as you watch the arizona sun slip below the mountains across the valley. And dream of exploring the art galleries in nearby Tubac, or indulging in local culture in Nogales down south, or visiting Patagonia across the valley and discovering The Tree of Life and the Velvet Elvis. -

I wish I was there right now. Kent and Nancy are amazing people. They are caring, generous, fun, warm and down to earth. They take pride in their home, services, food, and how their guests feel. I miss them, I miss the area, the home, the memories. I've never had a more relaxing, fun, felt like a queen time than my time spent here. I'm sad the weather was to cold to lay out by the pool, but that is the weather and they made up for it for the time spent with them at the market and in their home, which they didn't have to. It was just wonderful as were /are they.
